Nice city.
Nice city. Comparing to Samarkand Bukhara is smaller and main sightseeing spot are concentrated in the old city center so it's easy to see everything in 1-2 days. I would recommend to hire local guide and just relax walking via old Bukhara streets.

It was a unique experience & was like to set foot into the history of Central Asia. Several centuries of South Asia’s history starts from Bukhara, Samarkand & Tashkent. So, obviously this trip into the past was very exciting! Every building, monument in the city reminded us of their past glory & the great Mughals! From Chengis Khan, to Amir Taimur, Iban Batuta et all had set foot on this holy land. The city should get more prominence amongst the historians & tourists alike! Being nearest to India with 1.4 billion population & it’s really cheap value for money accommodation & delicious food will attract hoards of visitors. But before that more flight options & more English speaking young Uzbeks are the real necessity! We would love to travel many more times in the future. Long live Uzbeks! Long live Uzbekistan!

The old city is fabulous despite a lot of straight face tourists and despite the Coca Pepsi everywhere. Uzbekistan make a very bad deal with the capitalists. Most of the cars are Chevrolet. North American are changing the habits of the Uzbeks as well o many countries around the world. Yankees go home. Yankees go to hell

This is the most historically-focused town in Uzbekistan I have seen so far. The historical center is small, everything is in the neighborhood and very picturesque. Friendly locals, a lot to see and enjoy. Highly recommended!

I was not expecting that Bukhara will be a fascinating place to visit. Lots of historical places, architecture to visit. Great place to bargain as well. Food are so cheap and getting to places are easy especially if you download their taxi application.
Locals are very friendly.
We loved this family hotel. A very typical and cosy Uzbekistan place, warm room with a new private bathroom, full equipped (hairdryer, sleepers, kettle..) and comfortable bed. The best part was the breakfast, so delicious and vegetarian: warm Uzbekistan bread, fried eggs, crepes, jam, cheese, coffee, saute, cookies…simply excellent!!! The position is excellent too, you can reach everything early walking. Owners very nice and helpful. We surely recommend this place!!!
EVERYTHING!
The room just stunning, Uzbek’s style but with all the comfort.
the staff very nice and helpful for everything, they helped us a lot with different stuff.
We also enjoyed the city tour with the guide.
last morning we had to live really early and they prepared a take away breakfast for us.
we booked another room for the last night and they allow us to leave the luggage at the hotel for a couple oof days.
Best place where I slept in Uzbekistan .
We had a great stay at Samani! It's run by a friendly family and staff who make you feel very welcome. We loved the atmospheric courtyard and their breakfast is great, with different homemade treats each morning. The bed was comfy and the staff keep everything super clean. The location is excellent, really close to the Lyubi Hauz plaza and walkable from most sights in Bukhara. We would definitely stay again if we come back to Uzbekistan!
This hotel is spotlessly clean and has absolutely superb decor. It is very beautifully done. There are nice patios to sit. The room was modern and bright. The breakfast was really, really good quality compared to most places we stayed in Uzbekistan. The staff are very friendly and proactive and really very nice. The hotel is relatively new. It is in very handy location right next to everything but in a street behind so it is quiet.
Location is perfect, the staff were very helpful and simpatic, the mattress were medium soft and very comfortable/not tough like at the others hotels in Uzbekistan, the breakfast was very good(!), lots of food variations, including local food. The stuff organized for us the early take away breakfast due to early check-out. We managed to do the laundry and dry the things. Wifi worked without problem, the room had A/C.
Very hospitable host, told all the tips about saving the money in the city, bus routes (you would not find such information in the web, Bukhara lacks bus info applications), cheap cafes etc. Hotel has everything for a low-key backpacker like me. Breakfast was good. It also is family-welcome: since it is poorly visited in December, you'd be probably alone in a room for three. Ah, and the cat is lovely.
Brand new hotel in Bukhara with friendly and professional service. Some rooms are very small, especially twin rooms, so check room upon check-in. Top-floor (8th) breakfast buffet restaurant was very well equipped and had a huge buffet service. The pool - both outdoor and indoor - are spectacular, well maintained and with clean and fresh water, also not too busy.
this is the best hotel I’ve ever been. Everything was excellent: new authentic design, new and clean apartment, conditioner, hot water and hospitality reception. the breakfast was tasteful : traditional food, fruits, and real fresh coffee which is rather rare in Uzbekistan. So I plan to visit once again just to visit this fairy tail hotel.
Absolutely amazing place! I loved the neighbourhood, very central, yet quiet area. The view from the balcony was top! The hosts were very nice. I arrived at 5 in the morning by train and there was no problem checking-in so early. Excellent price, probably the best I had in the 2 weeks I spent in Uzbekistan. I would definitely come again!
breakfast was delicious and very filling. location was prime as we were next to all the main sites. Staff were helpful when we needed to arrange a taxi and spoke good English, which is hard to come by in Uzbekistan. superior room was spacious, clean-- loved the decor. Also, the hotel is family run which made our stay extra cosy.
Beautiful hotel, attentive staff, the room was ready for our arrival. Breakfast was a buffet, as stated, very acceptable, the tables were set, there were vegetables, fruits and pastries. The room was warm, despite the frost, unusual for sunny Uzbekistan. Prices are very pleasantly surprised and pleased us all!
The location was good, kalon mosque is 10 minutes walk, but either way Bukhara is small. The room was clean, they also cleaned the room while i was there, out of the three hotels i stayed in Uzbekistan it was the only one that did it, the stuff was kind and helped me arrange a taxi
Nice, modern hotel led by a local family. Super friendly, helpful and flexible host. You can easily communicate in English, which is not a standard in Uzbekistan. Everything in the hotel is new and clean. Breakfast was really tasty and plentiful. Very comfortable stay.
The location. the service. the old but renovated rooms. the cozy atmosphere. free tea and coffee. the best breakfast in Uzbekistan. I made a mistake with the booking and arrived a day early but the were very accommodating and checked us in immediately.
I really liked the interior of the rooms, beautiful and authentic. staff are very nice, polite, always helpful. Shaxnoza, a restaurant member was really helpful and shaming. Location of the hotel is perfect, not far from the must visit places.
Breakfast was really top. Staff were highly helpful. The room was very big and comfortable. Warm pool and decorated hall were amazing.
Special thanks to the big man - Owner of the hotel for his timely assistance.
We loved it here! The room was very comfortable and clean. The hosts were super nice, very welcoming and helpful with our questions. The breakfast was one of the best ones we had in Uzbekistan, so tasty!
The Hotel was very friendly, especially the young gentleman at the reception named Mirjalol. He showed high professionalism and provided excellent customer service and guidance.
