Everything - the beautiful humans who run this guest house went out of their way to make me feel at home… they even invited my family in to enjoy their hospitality while I was finishing breakfast! Their cooking is amazing and they bake like pros! The guesthouse is full of cheeky and quirky little touches and is full of books and comfy books to enjoy them! I wish I’d had more time here honestly, I can’t say enough about how wonderful my stay was. Location is great, walking distance to V&A Waterfront, Bo Kaap, Bree & Long Streets, The Stadium & several good places for coffee, food, bevs & groceries nearby. One of the best, if not the best, guesthouses I’ve stayed in anywhere in the world… and I’ve travelled a lot! If you love staying somewhere with genuine character and personality, stay with Allan & Russell at Hotel Lola!

I absolutely cannot say enough good things about this hotel. Russell and Allen are not only lovely humans, but also exceptional at taking care of their guests. Their homemade breakfast every morning was incredible (they make their own yogurt and granola!!), and probably the best we’ve ever had. Lino, their driver, was amazing and we did an excellent peninsula tour with him around the Cape. The hotel is well decorated, the bed comfortable and lovely, and it’s in an excellent location. Wow- just wow.

We had an amazing stay at Hotel Lola. Its set in a perfect location close to the V & A Waterfront. Russell and Alan are such amazing hosts, they made us feel like family. Nothing was too much for them and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The hotel itself is stunning with so many personal touches, it's refreshing to stay in a place that is not clinical like the big hotel chains. This is truly a gem and I will definitely book at Lola again

It was good. They accommodated us a day early and picked us up from the airport. The old house is well-maintained and nicely decorated. They helped us plan a brief day trip around Capetown, which was a lot of fun. An enjoyable experience.

I loved everything about Hotel Lola ! It's the perfect balance between privacy and feeling in a family home. I stayed in the pink room, and the bed was so comfy only the delicious breakfast could take me out of it. Definitely recommend staying at Hotel Lola and would be back ! Thank you the lovely stay !

Very good price point and still very close to VA waterfront, 2min drive or a few minutes walk. Russel was very attentive and responsive on booking.com messenger! The breakfast was really great, 2nd time in my life that I had an Omelette like this, just awesome. The arrival snacks and wine was a nice touch, thank you. The room and facilities are more than enough and still very private, interesting and unique decor, much attention to detail!
