Nice quiet location but not too far from centre and right at the bus stop that takes you into town. Beautiful hikes on your doorstep, and Eiger views. A feel of nature with a goat farm in front. Excellent dining and friendly staff.

Amazing stay, highly recommend. Historic building, and INSANE views from the room balcony. Staff were extremely attentive, breakfast was fantastic. Short and easy access (although uphill!) from the Wengen train station. Perfect base for the area, and easy to leave car at the Lauterbrunnen train station before taking the short train up to Wengen. Highly recommend.

Great hotel, we had a good time there. Staff is were helpful and friendly. Our room was clean and spacious, with an amazing view from our balcony. Location is perfect.

The staff are friendly, helpful and courteous. Breakfast buffet is good with nice view of the mountains. Shuttle service to the train station is great for check in and out.

Wonderful location, lovely spa, beautiful views, the family room was perfect for a family of four, had a fan to cool the room down (with the windows open). Great wifi. Would stay here again and again. Great entertainment in the courtyard on several nights.

A beautiful, well run hotel with stunning views in an exceptional town. We were recommended this hotel by a friend and we were not disappointed. It is a comfortable walk from the train station and right around the corner (steps away) from an indian, asian and an italian restaurant. We had the very best Ramen in that tiny Asian restaurant. There are also many other traditional Swiss restaurants within the immediate vicinity. The breakfasts at the hotel were lovely and the service friendly and attentive. The walks around this town should blow your mind. Having walked the town extensively we would choose this hotel again, upon a return visit.

The location is excellent, with easy access to nearby attractions, and the facilities were great! Everything was tidy and clean throughout the property. My room offered a stunning view of the waterfalls. I also appreciated how informative the hotel was. They provided plenty of useful details in advance, so I felt well-prepared and welcomed upon arrival.

Nice view and lovely restaurant

Check-in was very easy. The parking was in front of the hotel and cost 5 CHF per night. The breakfast was very good and the room itself was cosy and silent. There was a kettle and tea in the room. Speedy internet.

Absolutely amazing stay at alpenrose. Located in the beautiful town of wengen,the balcony offers stunning views of the mountain and of the town. Room was clean,comfortable with a vintage decor .staff was just amazing.Free pickup from the train station and back.Breakfast and dinner were both delicious with top notch service.One of our best hotel stays ever. 100% recommended and will definitely stay again!!

Excellent facilities and convenient location within Wengen -- close to train station, grocery store, and nice loop trails to see a bit more of the surrounding areas. My friend and I stayed in a private bunk room with a great patio. The bunk beds were well-made and very sturdy with comfy beds. The staff were welcoming, and we enjoyed the meals (dinner & breakfast) as part of our stay. We were sad to leave!

Perfect location, old hotel with great old charm and atmosphere. The staff are extremely helpful and they work very well as a team and go out of their way to make sure all guests are happy. The breakfast was outstanding and we love the picnic room and the playroom for the kids. Rooms were very comfortable and the views will be very hard to match. We enjoyed our stay and will gladly return if we have the chance.
