Pikillaqta
A large Wari village, Pikillaqta was mysteriously abandoned in 1,100 AD and soon after set ablaze. Despite ancient attempts at arson, the site is still amazingly intact. You’ll wander the streets and plazas past the temples, communal buildings, homes and storage structures – some of the buildings are an impressive four stories tall!

More moving than I expected.
More moving than I expected. Go at the end of the day so the light is really streaming through the stained glass windows. Also leave time to walk around the basilica afterwards. You need to really appreciate all the detail on the exterior.

One of the most majestic, breathtaking, and unforgettable places in the world. The interior is mesmerizing.Take a guided tour. Gaudi was a genius with a child's imagination. Without his artwork (cathedral, private homes, parks) Barcelona would be boring . Try to see them all.

Hire a guide or read up ahead of visiting. I thought it was just pretty weird architecture until the depth of devotion, engineering, and detail it represents was explained by my guide - who was passionate about it. Despite the BIG crowds, I ended up being moved by Gaudi's vision.

We were there March, 2024. If you visit only one site in Barcelona, this has to be it. Make sure you get your ticket ahead of time or you may find yourself waiting a long time in line. We recommend you get your tickets for the late afternoon when the sun rays are low and shine through the stained glass windows. Guaranteed--you will remember the sight for the rest of your life, just take time and soak it in. It gets crowded inside so take your time. Yes, go up one of the towers. And, go to the basement exhibit to get the story about the Sagrada's building(not complete). Also, go across the street to the parks on both sides to get full views of the breadth of the structure(each side different). A wonder.

It is crowded, but well worth it. Assume you are surrounded by pickpockets. Wear a money belt and keep your hand on your phone.

Compared with the exquisite houses Gaudi created, I was not thrilled by this cathedral. The tour company kept us waiting and waiting as it changed the person to guide us. And he was not knowledgeable or informing.

The location is excellent, just few blocks to the Sagrada Familia area with a lot of bars and restaurants. Walking distance to the Glories shopping mall. Metro station "Monumental" just two blocks from the hotel, taking Line 2 you can be in less than 10 minutes in Paseo Des Gracias and you can also combine to line 4 and go to Poble Sec. It was great.
I like the self check-in machine. It worked well for us. Met some staff in the building and they were nice and helpful. The apartment was extremely close to Sagrada Familia, closer than it looks in the pictures on Booking.com.
Great accommodations. Space was great, enough for 3 people. 10 min walk to La Sagrada Familia. There is a great breakfast buffet at the hotel. In case you want to do something different there is a nice café within feet from the hotel and also a nice bar to have a couple of cold ones at night.
The apartment is really nice, well equipped, clean, and has a lot of light. The air conditioner works great. The Sagrada Familia is 10 minutes away walking and there is a subway station Clot at around 7 minutes walking where you can take the regional train to go to the beach. There is a big supermarket just next to the building where you can by everything. We really enjoyed our stay at Barcelona and the apartment and the location where really great.
The apartment was great and was perfect for me a solo traveler or a couple. All the little details were appreciated, especially the espresso cups for the machine, and thank you for the extra ones when I asked. The location was just a block away from the Sagrada Familia which was nice since it is my favorite thing to look at in Barcelona =) I also appreciated when someone came to my apartment to explain how to work the electric stove, it is NOT easy.
The layout of the apartment was exactly as shown in the photos and looked great upon entering. The location was also amazing, very walkable to many of Barcelona's attractions, including La Sagrada Familia. The digital key system worked well and was easy to share with my family members so we could split up when needed while making sure everyone could get in and out.
Lovely hotel located in the vibrant neighborhood of Born in Barcelona. Close to several must-see sights including the Arch de Triumph and La Sagrada Familia. Hotel staff were exceptionally friendly and hospitable.
Love a hotel that has apartment option. Got a 2 bed/2 bath apartment with kitchen, washer/dryer and full living room for the price of one hotel room. Directly across the street from the hotel. Still got to use all hotel amenities (love the rooftop for drinks or dinner), except the new indoor pool/spa ($25 pp). Concierge very helpful with great restaurant recommendations (Bar Mut for dinner and Colmado Murria lunch). Very central location. Walk to everything, except took Metro to Sagrada Familia
Frankly the staff are lovely. The hotel is far from the old city and the center of Barcelona. The only thing was the Sagrada Família was a block away. The bathrooms are horrible. Old rooms and not attractive at all.

The square just off the Ramblas is the place to dine its the ultimate Mediterranean lifestyle experience eating and relaxing with drinks into the small hours. During the day taking in the cultural side of things such as the picasso museum, the sagrada familia and parc guill are great places. The early evening can be spent at the port / marina or the camp nou taking in a Barca game.
