It's beautiful!! There are many boat trips to choose from that go around the bay and also transport you from one side of Cardiff to the other if needed, and they are very reasonably priced indeed, and advertised really well with friendly reps manning the sales huts. Seeing The Senedd and The BBC buildings was really interesting and enjoyable to see that it's just like how you see it on the tv! There is so much choice with regards to restaurants, bars, cafe's, and live entertainment venues you could never be bored in this area. This IS the place to be! There is also a Tesco Express there, which is really convenient if you've been out exploring all day and need some supplies to go back to your hotel or apartment with 😊.
Great. We had a personal tour of the Parliament building . Lots to do and see here . Used the water bus to get there from near the castle. Interesting cafe/bookshop and a good restaurant. Used the hop on hop off bus to take us back to the city centre
Pick a good weather day there is a train or bus if you don’t want to walk 1.5 miles from Cardiff centre roughly there are a lot of food places for a meal or snack the welsh assembly building and theatre are stunning buildings
We grabbed a hot dog at Eddies American Diner, but later a lovely meal at the Mount Stuart Wetherspoons. Both great and reasonably priced. There's lots of shops and restaurants of all kinds in the area, with a great view over the Bay.
Great place during the day with a lot of different things to do from slow boat trips to fast boat trip. Millennium centre and Dr who are great and the Pier Head building shows the history and transformation of the bay. In the evening it only has bars and rather to many Italian themed restaurants. Could do with a few more boutique shops.
Best thing about this hotel is the location. Lovely room with fantastic view over to Mermaid Quay. Most helpful staff member was Roberto in reception.
Walking distance to mermaid quay and short drive to city centre. Quiet hotel, staff were lovely and room was very clean.
