It's beautiful!! There are many boat trips to choose from that go around the bay and also transport you from one side of Cardiff to the other if needed, and they are very reasonably priced indeed, and advertised really well with friendly reps manning the sales huts. Seeing The Senedd and The BBC buildings was really interesting and enjoyable to see that it's just like how you see it on the tv! There is so much choice with regards to restaurants, bars, cafe's, and live entertainment venues you could never be bored in this area. This IS the place to be! There is also a Tesco Express there, which is really convenient if you've been out exploring all day and need some supplies to go back to your hotel or apartment with 😊.
Great. We had a personal tour of the Parliament building . Lots to do and see here . Used the water bus to get there from near the castle. Interesting cafe/bookshop and a good restaurant. Used the hop on hop off bus to take us back to the city centre
Pick a good weather day there is a train or bus if you don’t want to walk 1.5 miles from Cardiff centre roughly there are a lot of food places for a meal or snack the welsh assembly building and theatre are stunning buildings
We grabbed a hot dog at Eddies American Diner, but later a lovely meal at the Mount Stuart Wetherspoons. Both great and reasonably priced. There's lots of shops and restaurants of all kinds in the area, with a great view over the Bay.
The location of the hotel was good for the mermaid Quay which had plenty going on there. The hotel was full of history. Our room was superb , the decor very decadent and the bath you could have a swim in it. The breakfast was very good and there was plenty of choice and it was easy enough to navigate the buffet table. The location where you ate was very pleasant, plenty of room between tables .
The location was in good proximity to mermaid Quay and the event I was attending. The bed was comfortable and breakfast was really nice.
Comfy room and lovely breakfast. Excellent location; easy walk to Mermaid Quay and into city centre.
