Rooms were very good and services like early check in was provided hassle free at a nominal cost.. this hotel is surely worth a try . Also the hotel staff was very co operative and dinner was arranged even during at late hours .In all a superb package deal

Although Sarnath is sacred to Buddhists, be prepared to find...

Although Sarnath is sacred to Buddhists, be prepared to find neither peace, nor serenity here. It’s almost always over-crowded and loud, more now, with the streets lines with food and souvenir stalls. Visit the lesser frequented Japanese pagoda in the vicinity. It’s lovely!

It's mostly not for non-buddhists as there is nothing worth...

It's mostly not for non-buddhists as there is nothing worth visiting or experiencing for non-buddhist tourists. This area is a buddhist holy cite, with buddhist temples, park, ancient ruins, museum etc. Also, the place is rife with local people trying to dupe the tourists. Don't hire any guides, who are just out there to scam money out of you.

This is one of the great sites in India and the museum is also one of the greatest in the country. Unfortunately, unless you book and pay online, you can not get in! They will not issue you a ticket on the spot and will not accept a cash payment. If you do not have an Indian bank account payment is difficult so you might have to pay a shopkeeper to do the whole booking online and the ASI website continually crashes. Good luck. It is worth trying, though

A true gem in Varanasi. It’s a homestay, but they don't compromise on quality. I was pleasantly surprised by the 8-inch pocketed spring mattress; it's rare to find such a good bed at this price point that too in a homestay. ​The location is very central—close to the Cantt area (1.3 km) and a short ride to the main temple (4 km). I missed out on Sarnath this time, but because the staff treated me so well and the value is so good, I’ll be booking this exact spot when I return to visit the rest of the city. A great experience!

The cleanliness and attention to detail is superb. The host and staff were so kind and accommodating. I wasn’t feeling well and the host made special efforts with the food to make me more comfortable. She also was very efficient with arranging drivers for us. Easy walk to Sarnath attractions.
