The staff were very friendly and happily helped me solve a few problems and seemlessly organised transportation to/from the airport and train station. I was a solo traveller and they helped me feel at ease. The room was really beautifully decorated and extremely clean.

Perfect stay at Hotel Scalinata di Spagna! Everything was perfect! The room was beautiful, with lovely furniture and very comfortable bedding. Every day we received four bottles of fresh water. The breakfast was very good and offered a beautiful view. The staff is smiling, kind, and very helpful. The location is fantastic — we were able to do everything on foot, with the Trevi Fountain only 10 minutes away! Amazing, I absolutely recommend it! An authentic hotel full of charm. 😊

Location was ideal. Walking distance to all main attractions and right beside a metro too we used the metro a lot to get to Termani. Had a mini bar if you needed it but a little pricey.

There is an evening tour that goes late into the night that will take you past all the icons of Rome. It is really remarkable to see these all lit up. Lots of walking but well worth it. I used Air BnB but there are tours for this on Get your guide as well.

They looked beautiful but unfortunately a wee old man took a wrong turn and drove down them which meant they had to be closed off to be surveyed for any damage. Tip: lock up your grandad and take away his car keys if you want to visit

Just down the street below the steps is the headquarters of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta. This possibly qualifies as the "World's Smallest Country", as Italy has given this building Extraterritorial status, which means Italy has no authority here. The Order issues its own stamps, which are sendable only to some countries. Most countries don't recognize the sovereign status of the Order, but it has official observer status at the U.N.

Avoid food right in the square (super overpriced). Make sure to check reviews of places before eating there (4.0 stars or more). Don’t sit on them or you’ll be yelled at. Check out Liazza del Popolo after.

Beautiful day on the Spanish Steps. After we roamed around, we found a table at the rooftop bar at the top of the Spanish Steps and had some beer and wine - very relaxing and we could see the entire city from the rooftop bar.

Beautiful

Beautiful Bering to Rome 20 years ago, really enjoyed sightseeing again and beeing able to see the beautiful parts of Rome. The only thing that really shocked me at every place was the dirt and rubbish everywhere. The tourists don’t care where they leave their stuff, no one is willing to carry their rubbish until it can be disposed properly. People just through their rubbish into the beautiful flowers/nature or leave it on the floor. This is a no go and should be fined, I’m sure they would have enough money then for a proper clean up. Especially in the heat, the rubbish smells and makes the whole town look bad. I cannot believe how disrespectful tourists and the own people are to such a lovely city.

Beautifully designed apartment with great attention to detail, it immediately felt like home. Nadia, Sebastiano, and Lucky were incredibly kind and helpful, and the communication via WhatsApp was excellent throughout the stay. The location is perfect, between the Spanish Steps and Piazza del Popolo, with lots of great restaurants and shops nearby. Even though the area is very central, the room was quiet. The kitchen was well equipped. Really appreciated being able to check in earlier as well.

The apartment was beautiful and I particularly liked the mezzanine floor and fitted bookcases and the small balcony overlooking a historic narrow street, full of beautiful little restaurants. We could walk to the Vatican, Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps etc. and the apartment was around the corner from the Piazza Navona.

The location is genuinely outstanding — the hotel is literally steps away from the Spanish Steps and the Spagna metro station, which made exploring Rome very convenient. The room was cleaned daily without being asked, which we appreciated. An iron was provided promptly upon request. The external walls of the building do a decent job blocking street noise from the very busy surrounding streets.

Beautiful apartment in an excellent location. It was very clean, comfortable, and well maintained throughout our stay. Adriano was a very polite gentleman and a welcoming host who made us feel at home from the start, and he was always responsive and available whenever we had questions or needed support. The apartment is in a particularly posh and attractive area of Rome, with beautiful shops nearby, and very close to Spanish Steps. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend it. We look forward to returning in the future.

Friendly staff, helpful and there was generally always someone available. The location was an easy walk to Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon. Surrounded by shops, restaurants and gelato shops and a stones throw to Piazza del popolo. It's an old skool Italian style hotel, that's what I wanted and it delivered.
