The hotel is very new and clean, location is great and price is excellent . The staffs are professional and friendly.

The inn is really comfortable and homey, located in the middle of a forest. The atmosphere is great, in particular the ability to use a private onsen one of which is located outdoors with forest view. The hosts - Satoshi and Elizabeth are great and really helpful. They helped us with planning our day trips and were really nice to us. We ate breakfast, and it was great and worth the price. The rooms are big and comfortable, with all the required facilities.

I love matcha, so I experienced a traditional tea ceremony during my stay. Along with the tea ceremony, I also had the opportunity to learn about Zen from the host, making it a truly meaningful experience. Additionally, since I had communicated my arrival time with the host via email before heading to the log house from Tobu Nikko Station, the transfer went smoothly, and I felt reassured throughout the process.

The indoor and outdoor baths were great. I got really lucky and it snowed the morning I checked out, so I was able to enjoy the outdoor bath in the snow. This was the highlight of the stay. The BBQ and campfire for an additional charge was worth it, especially since the staff who stays at the house did all of the set up and cleaning for us. I wasn't expecting that kind of service, and it was fantastic not to have to worry about doing everything myself. Also, the staff offer to pick up and drop off at the station.

I stayed two nights in this amazing hotel and enjoyed every single bit of it Service: The staff was absolutely amazing, very attentive without being intrusive, absolutely charming, very knowledgeable of activities around Nikko, they engaged in conversation and we're super nice. I can't find the names of the staff, but I want to thank the Metre for that amazing whisky. The hotel: Absolutely beautiful, great design concept, the lounge is amazing the rooms too, spotless, spacious, lots of light, very well decorated. The bed and pillows were so nice and comfortable, the best in my month in Japan. Food: A delight to the senses all the dishes at dinner were exquisite, great combination of flavors, textures, aromas, and perfect presentation. Breakfast was great too. There's also free cocktails and drinks and champagne for breakfast if you're into that. As a bonus during dinner time there's a DJ and you can request music. Location: It's a bit far from Nikko Tobu station and downtown Nikko but they have a shuttle bus service so don't worry about it. A taxi from Tobu Nikko to the hotel will run you about ¥2000.

We had a wonderful time staying here. It was cold outside but when we arrived, the house was already warmed up. The house is quite close to the Nikko's attractions. There are boardgames in the house. We enjoyed playing chess. Thank you.
