We spent 4 days and we would definitely like to come back to On the Mekong Resort. Henry, the owner, is a fantastic host. His staff is also very kind and well prepared. We really felt at home. The property is located right on the bank of the Mekong river, providing a fantastic location for watching the sunset. We loved the abundant breakfast, the pool and the easy going mood.

We loved the location as it was an easy and short walk to the night market and downtown area. The breakfast included each morning was great and the staff was wonderful and very helpful. The front desk helped us a few times secure really great day trips with a terrific driver. We would love to go back to visit again.

Long story short I extended my stay for 3 days because of this places and luang prabang. Location was great. Environment was good. Staff was very friendly and they can speak english too. Breakfast options was good with fruit and fresh juices. Room was big,balcony part was amazing. I can say even the ceramic in the bathroom was wonderful. It is not slippery ans cold and gets dry fast. Greater value for the money :)
