Chill Ville is breathtaking! It is a little further out from the center of Ella, but absolutely worth it. The cobbled stone steps and stunning garden, walking up to our private Villa, are magical. The infinity pool is perfectly situated with stunning views. Food and service were great! We would love to spend a week at the magnificent Chill Ville!

Upali is the best host ever, he passed by and collected our luggages early and kept them in the property before check in time, he even offered us a drop off to little adams peak on his way and came back to pick us to our room. he was always ready to help in any recommendation. the location is amazing directly above the nine arch bridge; you can enjoy seeing the train clearly while passing. the room is super clean, the food is freshly made with lots of fruits and pancakes. i totally enjoyed this hilarious experience. highly recommended ♥️

Great laundry service. It was affordable and they do an excellent job take great care with your garments. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We always had more than we could eat. Our room was spacious and clean, came with tea, coffee and fridge. The owner fixed my broken sandals (saving me from buying a new pair). The young man working there was all keys pleasant a bed very helpful. It was a brilliant experience staying there.

Everything was perfect, we arrived it was raining the owner was expecting us with umbrellas and helped us down stairs , the room was big enough and comfy beds, the view from the room was amazingggg , the family owning the business is very welcoming and generous. Loved the place and everything. Considering it’s in the forest water pressure for shower was low that’s all.

    Great views best to go to the bar above it some amazing views also easy to get train from Ella till the next station which goes over the bridge we managed to get photos & video hanging outside the door which looked unreal!!!

    Beautiful, but long walk down and up if you are not 100% fit...

    Beautiful, but long walk down and up if you are not 100% fit or a bit older. Tip - get a Tuk Tuk up from where the stairs stop. It’s a premium price but worth it. It’s muddy and slippery if it’s been raining, so don’t risk your ankles or knees.

    The rickshaws shouldn’t charge more than 500rs one way. They stop at a point beyond which it’s a steep descent on stairs and some narrow but safe enough pathways that lead to the bridge. Therefore the walk back is also a steep incline. There are monkeys who mind their business. Or you can choose to walk the entirety of it. It took us 1 hour to go and come back with ampke breaks and a slow pace. My 60+ year old parents with above average to good fitness levels could do it.

    Fairly strenuous walk down to the bridge, which in it's self is a wonderful feat of British engineering and Sri Lankan effort!. However, our anticipation was dampened by the sheer volume of other tourists on the bridge (at least 1000) all waiting and jostling for the best spot to get a photo of the anticipated train. There are far more beautiful and less touristy things to see and do in Sri Lanka than this.

    For me 100/100.

    For me 100/100. Beautiful bridge, fabulous views all around, the road to the viaduct itself leads through a fabulously green forest. Some trains stop on the viaduct, so there is time for a photo session:-))) It is also nice to have a coffee (or Ceylon TEA!!!) in one of the cafes by the viaduct, watching the trains passing by and the wonderful views of the area.

    Best to go for early morning train times as there are less people. We went in the afternoon and it was still wonderful. You can walk around 3kms (quite steep though in parts) or you can take a tuk tuk for around 3000 LKR (and they wait for you to return to Ella).
