It was an ok see but extremely busy and personally nothing special. We did both the palaces and again - both similar so would chose just one. I would recommend visiting either first or last thing. We felt the entrance fee was too expensive for what it was.

Very busy. Don't think they have a capacity.
Very busy. Don't think they have a capacity. Be prepared to wait to view architecture - people queuing to get the perfect ‘gram’ picture. No info signs around the palace to explain anything but one way system seems to work well. In and out in about an hour and that’s with queuing to pay.

Difficult to avoid tourist groups, even in November.
Difficult to avoid tourist groups, even in November. They come in waves so sit in the sunshine and wait until they have passed on. We went round the palace a few times and took some lovely, uninpeded photos. Same with the beautiful Majorelle Gardens which are smaller and more packed at times. Worth the wait.

70 Dirhams to enter is not cheap and you will not spend more than an hour there. Good for seeing intricate Moroccan tiling, exquisite and intricate ceiling designs and understanding the background to some of the rituals.

Incredible works, very beautiful building, full of history.
Incredible works, very beautiful building, full of history.
I recommend you book for a guide, instead of doing a solo visit, so that you can have the insights behind the construction and the architecture, discover details you would not notice by yourself, hear about the lives of the monarchs who have made the greatness of the palace.

Serene and spotless, just entering the riad after a long international flight felt like we had finally arrived home. One can sense that restoring this gem had to have been a labor of love. Loved the vibe, and its energy. Located a stones throw away from Bahia palace, a cute local market and Jardin Majorelle are also within a walkable distance.
Very nice staff and very accomodating. We had an early flight so they set up our breakfast even earlier so we can eat before leaving.
Location is perfect...near Badi and Bahia palaces. And near street where you can grab a taxi (cars cannot enter the medina)
The location was ideal, in the riad but close to Jemaa el-fmaa, the mosque, bahia palace. The riad looked exactly as pictured but it's dated. The staff was super friendly and helpful
Charming Riad in the heart of the Marrakesh medina, next to the Bahia Palace.
From the moment you walk through the door, the hosts make you feel at home, always with a smile and ready to help with whatever you need. The breakfasts are typical Moroccan, very good and complete.
In addition, we received very good recommendations for eating and visiting in the surrounding area, as well as tips to keep in mind when shopping in traditional markets.
I would definitely stay here again.
We felt lucky to have stumbled upon this incredibly charming Ryad. The staff felt like old friends. They were especially helpful with advice and setting us up with hiking guides and a 4 am trip to the airport. Breakfast was delicious and the one dinner we had made us wish we'd stayed for more. The bed was great. The Ryad's one block proximity to the Bahia Palace was very helpful as a destination descriptor for taxi drivers. Lastly, don't miss the hammam!
Absolutely stunning riad- one of the most beautiful buildings we saw in Marrakesh. Don’t hesitate to book this riad. Staff are lovely and the breakfast is very yummy- lovely to sit on the terrace and eat breakfast. The room was very comfortable, clean and beautiful- AC worked very well. Also very close to the centre of medina and places to see like Bahia palace great location. Would definitely recommend.
Amazing room and facilities (hammam spa and plunge pool!), super kind staff, and delicious food including a stunning breakfast on the terrace with fresh juice and coffee, eggs to order, variety of jam/fruits/breads, and homemade yogurt! Also, the location is ideal - right between Bahia Palace and the centre of the medina (Jamaa El Fna), but back off the main street so the riad itself it a quiet retreat.
What a beautiful Riad! Very comfortable and beautiful accommodation- such attention to detail in the design. Good location within walking distance to medina and a few minutes from Bahia Palace. Breakfast was very good served on the upstairs terrace. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and helpful- lots of advice regarding attractions, restaurants and activities- a real perk of our stay!
