This is one of those drop-everything most beautiful places...
This is one of those drop-everything most beautiful places on earth. up there with Venice and Lake Como. We drove from Auckland and our room not quite ready, so we set off, caught the shuttle bus/minivan thingy, and walked to the Cove and back. There are no facilities to change into togs, but we brought a large towel that did the job of a 'changing tent'. We also had drinks and snacks in the backpack. We saw a few people trying to dart through the gap and dodge the waves, but the tide was coming in (!) and one man bumped his head on the rock! So... either get wet, or bump your head? The next morning, we joined a small group of 4 kayaks (booked this months ago) and paddled from Hahai Beach to Cathedral Cove.
