This is another must.
This is another must. Get there early in the morning, avoids the massive crowds and the increasing heat and humidity. Make sure you plan ahead, wear the correct clothing for visiting temples. Otherwise you will find your buying overpriced leggings and tops at the temple etcRGuest review byRobinUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The Grand Palace ranks among Bangkok’s finest treasures and arguably stands as one of the world’s most magnificent palaces. Though its entry fee may be steep, a visit in the early morning—arriving by 8:15 am—proves both rewarding and well worth the cost. Exploring at this hour allows you to bask in its splendour, capture stunning photographs, and escape the midday heat while wandering in peace. The palace dazzles with its vast array of breathtaking buildings, temples, and courtyards, each grand in scale and exquisite in detail. Stepping inside the temples feels like a journey through time, their walls adorned with the entire Ramayana intricately inscribed, whispering history with an unmistakable resonance. The Grand Palace possesses an aura all its own, a testament to its timeless majesty.SGuest review bySatvikNepal - 10.0
Incredible!
Incredible! It's really hard to find the right words to describe this place! Unbelievably amazing! You really just have to come and see it for yourself. We had a great couple of hours or more strolling the grounds and marveling at all of the temples. It's really quite something else. Teenagers were as fascinated and loved it just as much as us (the parents!). We found it a little hard to find the entrance but once there it was busy but very easy to get in. Bags are checked by security. We wore jeans (only long pants we had, and don't recommend 😅) it was so hot. I found it so hard to find reliable information on the dress code and went with the Grand Palace website guidance. However, once we were inside there were many people that had knees, shoulders, arms uncovered and wearing jandals/sandals. We wore trainers (big mistake, don't recommend! Way too hot). People were wearing elephant pants and really casual. I recommend covering up but wear loose comfortable cool clothing. I wore a t shirt and was fine. Once inside there was a stall where you could buy cold water and cokes and also good toilet facility. This is definitely worth visit at least once in your life time and well worth the 500 baht for foreign visitors (no need to pre purchase (unless perhaps you book a special tour guide) easy to buy tickets once you have gone through security) 👌🙏🇹🇭🕍❤️MGuest review byMeganNew Zealand - 6.0
It was very hot with very little shade.
It was very hot with very little shade. Its one of those things you have to do, a bit like visiting London and seeing Buckingham Palace. bring a hat and water. They're very strick on clothing so make sure you cover shoulders and legs or you'll be buying clothes you don't want.NGuest review byNicolaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Nothing great -- we weren't able to go inside so it was just a tour of the outside of the buildings. The best site was the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, which was stunning, but you weren't able to take any pictures of the buddha itself.IGuest review byInesUnited States

New Siam II
The pool was lovely. Location was great, right near Khao San Rd and its night market. Also the Grand Palace and Wat Pho. I was surprised that the room had a small balcony. I wish it was cool enough to use!SGuest review bySelvitellaUnited States - 9.1

Bangkok Neighborhood Hostel
The hostel is small and friendly. The reception area is good for socialising (free water refill and snacks available). The beds in the dorm room I stayed in had good curtains and lockers. The shower and toilet facilities are perfectly adequate. It's 5 minutes walk from Sam Yot MRT station and has 2 green/spacious parks within 5 minutes. Grand Palace and museums are walkable to and nightlife (Sukhumvit) is an easy MRT ride. Plenty of cafes right outside. The owners are great and happy to chat, I would happily return.CGuest review byCharlesUnited Kingdom - 9.3

Villa De Khaosan by Chillax
The hotel was located next to the grand palace, Wat Arun and Wat Pho. It had a nice rooftop pool with day beds and on the rooftop you had a nice view of Bangkok. The staff were nice and the welcome drink was a delicious tea with a cold towel.KGuest review byKennethUnited States - 9.2
Diff Apartel Banglamphu
A new apartel located in a historic part of Bangkok. The room is roomy and tidy. There’s a cafe on the ground floor, plus plenty of great restaurants and vendors in the vicinity. It’s just a short walk to Wat Bowon Niwet, one of the most stunning temples in Bangkok. The apartel is also conveniently close to the Grand Palace, Wat Pho, the National Museum, and other attractions. The staff here is super friendly and helpful.SGuest review bySirimaUnited States
