Attractively set in the Uskudar district of Istanbul, Meydan Otel Uskudar is located a 12-minute walk from Maiden's Towers, 1.5 miles from Dolmabahce Palace and 1.5 miles from Dolmabahce Clock Tower.
One of the the best sights you will see on your Bosphorus cruise. The Maiden's Tower, also known as Leander's Tower since the medieval Byzantine period, is a tower lying on a small islet located at the southern entrance of the Bosphorus strait.
Maiden's tower itself is not that facilitating. Don't go with high expectation just see the small tower. Rather enjoy the visit to the place. I would recommend not to go directly by taxi. Its more enjoyable to go to the nearest ferry stop, which is Uskudar Cd. And then walk the by the river until the boat station of the tower.
I love it the most in Istanbul. Go to Uskudar subway (asian side), exit on left and walk on the seashore max. 10 min. where you will find some stairs with pillows on them, umbrellas and tables close to water. From there you can get the Kiz kulesi visit tickets too. From that place you will get a beautiful view of Kiz Kulesi, Galata tower and the other main important attractions of european side. My favorite place in Istanbul...to relax, view the lanscape, drink Ayran or tea, contemplate, make plans for tomorrow, etc.
