Wonderful breakfast with many options. Rooms were spacious and welcoming. The lobby happy hour was a happy surprise with fantastic service. The hotel was beautifully decorated. Overall, a wonderful property, we cannot wait to return.

The front desk receptionist, Ranjita, helped me check in during this visit and my previous visit here. She was amazing and so accommodating and made our stay 10 out of 10 on both occasions. She made things special for us and because of her, we will continue to stay here when we visit Monterey. Thanks for everything Ranjita!

we did stay here with family for one night only, to go for a whale watching. the room we got was spacious, no issue to fit 5 of us in there. we used the car to go to anywhere we wanted to, center of Monterey I do not consider in walking distance. all the hotel area incl the room was clean, staff was very helpful, breakfast was excellent. if I need to come to Monterey again, I would choose the same place, no question.

Great location, nice staff, parking for the day

I was happy with the location of the room as it was a very quiet side of the hotel. While I enjoy the Alvarado street side to people watch, the opposite side is much quieter. Bed was very comfortable and enjoyed the fireplace. The staff is so friendly and available for support in all your needs.

The cleanliness of the room and facility was the best thing for me. The staff was helpful and friendly. The room was very comfortable. Parking was suitable. The location was great for our need.

The room was clean, spacious, comfortable and the fireplace was lovely. It right by Asilomar and an easy walk to the boardwalks and beach.

We always stay here when we visit the Monterey Bay Aquarium. The rooms are comfortable and maintained. The staff are always friendly and we love the plants throughout the hallways.

It was the most recommended hotel when we were looking to book for a short holiday and it is very clear why. The hotel is in the middle of all the good and tourist friendly places, hence walking around was always a good option. The rooms are exceptionally clean and have a cozy, inviting feeling to them. Interestingly, the hotel was busy even after "holiday season", after the schools have begun, hinting at the popularity of Monterey and the hotel itself. Some highlights: complimentary wine in the evening. A "menu" of pillows (around 8) to choose from for your personal preference and comfort, in the room.

Great place to stay for three nights. Convenient location for shopping and sightseeing. Breakfast was so good and I especially love to make waffles! They also serve free wine and cheese at evening. Room was spacious and clean, and had fireplaces. I enjoyed this cozy little inn.

Allan (front desk) manager has been very accommodating and has exceptional knowledge on their newly installed Samsung smart tv’s. He was able to spend time on troubleshooting and explaining the features that I needed help with.

The location was close to everything. The parking was nice. The room was clean.

We’ve stayed in Monterey many times, but it was our first time at this hotel. Great room with high ceiling and view of garden, friendly service, easy parking and location is walkable to wharf and restaurants.

breakfast is good and delicious room is clean and comfort location is good for the sightseeing and for 17 mile drive. would like to come back again.
