Room was very clean, including beds. We stayed in 2 different rooms, bc we stopped here in the middle of a trip both directions. All were clean and comfortable. It was a blessing to find a room for six, with no one having to sleep on the floor. Plenty of towels, etc. Breakfast service was lovely, thank you so much! All staff was friendly and helpful.

It’s beautiful, we loved the fact that the man doing refused payment from the government, and stuck with his standards on how it should be done to show honor. And now his children and grandchildren are continuing to finish what their dad and grandfather started.

I can't tell you the many ways this monument moved me.

I can't tell you the many ways this monument moved me. From the history of this monument, the challenges it faced, its sculptor, the Lakota Nation, the inclusiveness of all Native people. I will never forget this visit.

Save your money and just look at it from the parking lot.

Save your money and just look at it from the parking lot. The museum is nice but thats all you get to see, not much of a closer view from the museum area and huge gift shop. Its clearly a money making event all the way around!

Wow, exceeded our expectations.

Wow, exceeded our expectations. It was a short wait for the short bus ride to the monument which is amazing. Our guide was great. The information centre/museum is a must. Make sure you allow 2-3 hours to explore.

If you have the opportunity, take the extension tour up to the monument. It is an extra fee but that goes towards the project. We got to stand right next to the face and on the arm. Amazing to see up close and watch how the carving is going on this mountain. The light show at night is worth seeing too. Scouts in uniform get in free. The museum has nice displays.

This is a huge carving in natural stone that is still in progress. Reserve the opportunity to go up onto the arm of Crazy Horse to the total experience. This s small group, van ride up (after the workers are finished for the day). The view is worth the ride, you are allowed to bring back a stone of your choice, and when you up so close and personal, the sheer massiveness is obvious. NOT to be missed.
