A very pleasant stay. The place is cozy and at walking distance from food and other amenities. The room has a keypad lock so you don't have to worry about a key getting lost or something like that. I even had a mini fridge and coffee maker in the room. The manager was very friendly and helpful. I loved lake Tahoe and I will definitely look to stay at the Alder Inn.

    This is a wonderful area with many trails and some crisp...

    This is a wonderful area with many trails and some crisp swimming. You can hang out by the lake or hike up to smaller lakes. Views and air are mind blowing. You must, however, get there early. Parking is limited--and you will get a serious ticket for parking in a non-authorized spot. I would avoid it on weekends and holidays unless you pan to get there in the early morn. Make sure to pack a lunch as there is not a nearby place to pick things up. Also, bring one of your extra supermarket bags to be a friend and pick up anything in your spot that does not belong, bottle caps, plastic etc. Many do this and that is why the place stays pretty pristine.
