Great property. Amazing location - great views. We rented a motorbike from them and did local sightseeing. The food was delicious and they made some tasty local cocktails. Loved the hot toddy and mullet wine. Very hospitable staff.

Beautiful rooms and dedicated staff! I stayed at five different hotels during my trip to Vietnam and I can say without a doubt that Tam Coc Lion Kings Hotel was the best one I stayed in. First of all, the staff are SO kind and helpful and attentive. I’m sorry that I didn’t get their names but two different women at the front desk were so helpful to me. The first one was when I checked in and she so very kindly offered me early check-in so I could have breakfast (I arrived at around 8:30 AM from Hanoi) while she prepared my room and after breakfast, she was eager to help me plan tours in Ninh Binh without being pushy. She offered all the help she could, like if I wanted to rent bikes or motorcycles, what times I should visit this and that attraction, etc. Then the other receptionist when I got my bags the following night (they allowed to keep it after I checked out that afternoon), gave me another bottle of water and a wafer biscuit to take with me on my overnight train trip. She also carried my suitcase and was just very caring that I could get into my grab taxi properly. They didn’t have to go above and beyond but they did and I’m so grateful, it made me feel so welcome as a guest. Then of course, there’s the room. I booked the superior double/twin room with mountain view and it was such a beautiful room! The first thing I noticed was how pleasant it smelled, I loved it so much. The bed was big and comfy and had everything I needed in the room. There was also a huge window (and I mean HUGE, like it spanned an entire wall) and it let in so much natural light, which I so loved. My only complaint about the room was the water, when turned to hot, was scalding and the shampoo and shower gel didn’t smell good to me. They have free buffet breakfast with my booking. The fried rice was amazing and the fruits were fresh. Everything else was basic but truly filling.

We absolutely loved our stay! Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The property is located in a quiet area about 5min walk from the town. View from the property is spectacular. Swimming pool is refreshing. Best of all - the owners! We felt so welcomed by the family, they are all super friendly and helpful. We got so many good recommendations on things to do and where to eat. Bicycles are free to use, which was great. We were also able to rent a scooter. The breakfast is delicious (you can choose one main dish, coffee or tea + you get fruit and fresh mango juice). Try the omelette, it’s one of the best I’ve ever had! We would love to come back!

    Go in the morning.

    Go in the morning. Fascinating boat ride in and out of caves in twist and turn rivers. Impressive pagodas. Very well organized tourist attraction: parking, food choices, shops, in and out of boat dock, toilets. A++

    We were told at the ticket booth that trip number 1 required...

    We were told at the ticket booth that trip number 1 required some climbing which is not recommend for older visitor. Whereas. trip number 2 and 3 highly recommend for older visitor. Each trip cost 250000VND which rowing around for couple hours and going through a few cave. Personally, it is over price

    Is this the boat ride.

    Is this the boat ride. Something positive - it was great going through one cave on a sampan, for over 2km, then a tunnel of 400m and visitng a few temples. The scenery was outstanding. Go on tour 3, reviews and staff to whom I spoke to, all said it was by far the best out of the 3 options.

    Fantastic set up - my tip is paddle!! help out the ladies who are doing all the work - dont be a princess and help!! Such an awesome part of Vietnam, we stayed right in Tam Coc and it was our favourite place in Vietnam.

    It opens at 6.15am, go early ie before to avoid queues which can get up to two hours when it’s busy. I was expecting a small operation but this is a major tourist attraction current price Jan 2023 259 vnd per person.
