The location of the resort is truly remarkable—secluded and surrounded by natural beauty. While the initial stretch of road leading to the property is somewhat rough, the sense of calm and remoteness it offers is well worth it. The resort is rich in character, filled with memorabilia and steeped in history, offering fascinating insight into the Gold Rush era and the heritage of Pilgrim’s Rest. The food was satisfactory, though there is room for improvement. That said, the hospitality and service were exceptional—warm, attentive, and welcoming throughout our stay. This is a place where you naturally find yourself drawn into its historical charm. I would highly recommend booking a longer stay to fully appreciate both the peaceful setting and the surrounding walking trails, which add to the overall experience.

    Breakfast was very good and the location is perfect for visiting other areas like the God's Window, Mac-mac Falls. It's a little drive to the Echo Caves but the scene is beautiful which compensates for the driving. On your way back you come past The Three Rondavels.
