Very comfortable bed and good breakfast. The cable car to Oeschinensee is just outside the hotel.

Despite calling itself “vintage,” we found the hotel to be modern, fresh, and very well maintained throughout. Our room was extremely comfortable, and the balcony—with its beautiful mountain views—was an absolute highlight. The entrance area features a large, welcoming recreation and lounge space with books, games, and areas to relax or read, which added to the overall cozy yet stylish atmosphere. The spa was clean, comfortable, and inviting. While the pool water itself was on the cooler side, the relaxation areas were warm, serene, and wonderfully calming—perfect for unwinding after a day out. The breakfast buffet was outstanding. An added bonus: we received discounts and passes for the tram up to the glacial lake and for the local trains and buses. Overall, this hotel struck a great balance between comfort, design, and relaxation. We truly enjoyed our stay and would happily return.

We stayed in the amazing loft which a steam bath and hot tub which can be rolled outside. Everything was lovely about our stay!

This is my fav stay during my entire Switzerland travel. The location is wonderful, and the view from the room is super beautiful! My single room is really cozy and clean, the ensuite bathroom is also clean and they provide shampoo and soap. The breakfast is wonderful. And the family/staff is very friendly and helpful.

The property has been very responsive both via booking and by phone. The staff was composed, helpful, and considerate. It was our first visit but they made us (dog included) feel welcome. Cleanliness was spot on both in the room and common areas. Stay at the hotel restaurant as the chef develops and executes daily excellent menus. The location is perfect for hiking as many trails start directly from the doorstep.

It's a gem. Don't tell anyone! Hah. You must know this is a hidden spot in a valley only accessible through a one way tunnel street. It's not an easy accessible place, but that is what makes it special. The place is original, so don't look for extra comfort but original details. Dive into tranquility of nature.

A very hidden gem after day hiking in Oeschensee! A lot of spa facilities that was really unexpected. Plus the restaurants is also very nice and tasty.

Really nice rooms with kitchen and a great deck to sit out and enjoy the views! Breakfast was great! Right by the bus stop so an easy location to get to. Nice having the spa as well.

The property is very well equipped. Furniture is high quality. Kitchen is equipped with everything you need to live there for a long stay. It appears that it is not one of those investment properties only set up for airbnb; someone has lived there and set it all up. There's even a smoothie blender. Bathroom provides bamboo tooth brushes, toothpaste and disposable floss. There are slippers. The best part is the location. It is on a busy street, but parking is on the property and the bathroom window and one of the bedroom window are directly opening up to the river, so you fall sleep to the sound of the water...

The host put a lot of thought into what their guests could possibly need and / or want during their stay. We were greeted with cold waters and chocolate. Their were tooth brushes, dental floss, shower caps, nail files, Q-tips, mini sewing kits, coffee beans, sugar and so much more. We truly felt right at home and enjoyed our stay.

The location is perfect with the view of the mountains. The apartment was so cosy and spacious, well equipped and the many fur carpets made it feel so warm and comfy. We slept like babies. We had a dinner to the most beautiful view.

The chalet is located along the road to Kandersteg, offering a stunning view of the valley. It was very clean and equipped with all the facilities we needed during our stay. The quality of the cookware was particularly noteworthy. Additionally, the noise isolation inside the chalet is excellent—we couldn’t hear the busy road right in front of it.

There are two bedrooms and a nice living room with a sofa bed, so it is probably enough for six people. And it is so quiet and homey, the owner Peter was very responsive and even showed up at the apartment to show us how to turn on the room heaters. And send someone next day to fix one heater that’s not working

This is an unbelievably beautiful place to stay for the night—or even better, for two or three nights! The apartment is very comfortable and cozy. It has everything you need, especially in the kitchen—lovely dishes and all the essentials for cooking (we were particularly pleased to find spices, which are rarely provided). The beds are comfortable, and the view from the window is absolutely stunning. There’s a pleasant, gentle sound of the nearby river. Everything is thoughtfully arranged with great care for the guests! We will definitely choose this apartment again when we return to this wonderful location.

I was looking for an affordable accommodation in Kandersteg that allows me to check in late at night. I couldn't really find another option, and I did not regret booking this place. It has everything I needed for a relaxing solo break. Good proximity to the station, hiking areas, a lovely bakery, groceries, restaurants. It is a perfect base to explore the beautiful Kander valley and beyond. There are several buses to neighbouring valleys, too. Very quiet at night, and the morning view from the bedroom is priceless! The host was friendly, provided me with plenty of information and clear instructions regarding my stay. Thank you very much, I had an amazing break and already recommended this accommodation to friends. :) I'd also love to return.
