Easy self check in and check out.
The resort was unexpectedly a great stay in Kusatsu. The rooms were spacious, the onsen baths were relaxing (indoor and outdoor), the sauna in the women's spa was good (the men's was out of order), and generally the services were excellent. It has so many features for everyone-- comic book room, gaming arcade for kids, souvenir shop, top floor restaurant, etc. We opted for a Japanese style room and the tatami beds were comfortable. At night if you were hungry/ peckish, you could get noodles at the restaurant (starting at 9:30pm). We only opted for breakfast buffet on the last day since we thought it was pricey (1,900 JPY/pp), but it ended up being well worth it. We regret not having gone every day of our stay since there aren't that many breakfast options in town. The resort is affiliated with two sister venues (Kamenoi Hotel and Kusatsu Onsen Daitokan), which are closer to the Yubatake downtown. You can get passes to go to those hot springs/ onsen and there's a shuttle bus that goes to Daitokan and back. We also took it to the bus station. Check to see whether there are shuttles from the bus station to the resort because it's uphill and further away.
Onsen, room, location, clean, modern
It’s near the main spots and had enough entertainment and facilities
Rooms were definitely super clean and spacious, more than enough space for 2 person and large suitcases. 3 Onsen baths provided and you can even visit the sister hotel's Onsen should you want to. Onsen were very clean and well maintained, not once is there anything to pick about. Breakfast and dinner buffet were out of this world. Well worth the price with so much selection and variety for appetiser, main course, dessert, and drinks. Yukata also provided as well that you can wear indoor or even wear out, and you can borrow sandals too to wear outdoors. The heater in the room is pretty strong too. Backdoor shortcut access is also very convenient leading straight into the Main Street with the stores and literally 2-3 minutes away from Yubatake. Even at night the shortcut was strongly lit making it feel safe!
way its positioned and the non human interaction the bathroom and 洗面台was a gold
The private ones was great, the apartment looked modern and clean
Everything! The place is breath taking ! Clean well decorated (amazing) with amazing onsen and staff so nice . We had wonderful time and the town is magical!
We loved the room with the bath inside and the tatami mat floors. The staff was informative and helpful. The Sakura Lounge was fantastic and everyone should utilize that on their visit.
Everything was great! Location, service, design. Welcome drink with sweets and breakfast are served right into your room! Also you can use onsen all night long, which is unusual.
The staff was great and the hotel was pretty neat, loved the facilities
Everything was perfect! We didn't eat at the ryokan, so I can't comment on that but everything else was awesome. There is a shuttle bus to and from the yubatake area with a fixed schedule, so it was convenient. The staff was kind, the late ramen and other snacks included in the rest area were delicious; the open air baths were relaxing; and our room was spotless. The best ryokan experience yet.
We arrived very late after a hard drive in the snow. The father and son duo that run the Ryokan stayed up to greet us and dusted off all the snow off our backs and took all of our luggage upstairs. The room was warm and comfortable. The staff would always appear like genies. Anytime we needed anything, there was someone available immediately. The facilities were very clean, the onsen was warm and very enjoyable. The father plowed snow and made a mini Mt. FUJI for my daughters. He told them they could climb it and he would give them a certificate for climbing "Mt. Fuji". He didn't forget. As we were checking out, he surely handed them their certificates. Location was very close to the Yubatake. Parking was difficult in the snow (especially with the steep entrance to the Ryokan) but the staff had communicated very quickly and let us know to park at a local public parking lot(at a cost). Their communication was very prompt and clear throughout our stay. We did end up moving out car to the free Ryokan parking once the snow was plowed. There is a washing machine for use for free, just use of the dryer was 300yen per load. We would come and stay here again.
From the second we stepped onto the threshold of this hotel, we felt welcomed and super cozy. Although the lady at the reception didn't speak English, she still did her best to explain everything we needed to know about the hotel and the area. We also had complimentary sweets and participated in a small tea ceremony, which was something we, as tourists visiting Japan for the first time, appreciated so much. The place had four private onsen rooms, with all the necessities you might need, such as different shampoos, towels, hairbrushes and cotton pajamas after the bath! Sleeping on the bed felt like sleeping on a cloud. Yubatake was 1 minute away from us. The breakfast was delicious. I wish we had stayed there longer!
The location to the city center and attractions. Also the open air bath was amazing with the snowfall.
Excellent location and a very peaceful stay for being a hostel. Bunk Beds were real comfortable and spacious (for bunk beds). Host was very welcoming and the property felt really homey.
The staff were very warm and kind
The host was very very polite and friendly. The facilities are very clean.
The cabin’s were surreal! Like staying in a dream!
It was amazing. There was private onsen, amazing kitchen facilities, and really great rooms as well as the living room having Japanese kotatsu to keep us warm
The room was clean and very spacious! The hotel offers pyjamas and Yukatas for guests. The breakfast was so tasty and the service was incredible! The Onsen is private and available from 3pm to 9am. Overall we loved our experience and would come back anytime.
Almost every thing. Mostly the natural Onsen & Sauna
The room, the service, and especially the food (dinner and breakfast)
