I loved everything about this hotel! The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and accommodating throughout my stay. The hotel was spotless, and all of its facilities were clean and well maintained. I also appreciated the thoughtful complimentary amenities, including free drinks, after-bath soba, and ice cream. The in-house sauna and onsen were wonderfully relaxing and made the stay even more enjoyable. What I loved most, though, was my room. The hotel accommodated my request for a room with a view, and it absolutely exceeded my expectations. The view made my stay even more memorable.

Excellent location, particularly if you’re keen to attend the sunrise service at the temple. Plenty of space in the room. Terrific meals; the food and the cheerful hospitality of the dining room & kitchen staff in particular are worth the splurge.

The apartment is absolutely wow - spacious, spotlessly clean and beautifully designed hundred years ago. Dinner was excellent and being able to have it here made all the difference after a long day on the Nakasendo Trail. Yasuhiro (the host) was outstanding: incredibly helpful with every request, quick to reply and genuinely welcoming from start to finish. We spent 15 days travelling across Japan and this was the best accommodation of the entire trip. Highly recommended to anyone walking the Nakasendo or exploring the Kiso Valley

Great apartment! Has all the amenities you could want. We loved the movie room and enjoyed a cozy night! We were able to check in early and have our luggage dropped off. The host booked us a lovely dinner down the street.

The host, the property and the experience were all incredible. We arrived to Narai-Juku after walking the Nakasendo Trail for three days. Walking the street was absolutely magical and the house did not disappoint! It is right on the main "street" and gives a feeling of immediately being transported back in time. The opportunity to stay there is something my family and I will never forget and we sincerely hope to stay again! The inside of the house has all of the modern amenities while still keeping the original feel. Additionally, as a bonus, the owner is friendly and kind and took the time to make sure we understood how everything worked inside. In the morning he recommended a great breakfast place which was much appreciated.

Very nice and beautiful traditional house in Matsumoto, close to the castle and the city shopping streets with lots of cafes and restaurants. The house is spotless, comfortable, spacious and very well equipped with all the modern facilities. The interior decoration, the warm atmosphere and the attention to the smallest details are really amazing. Really friendly host; she met us, explained everything about the house and even left for us local grapes and water from one of the famous Matsumoto springs that was a nice surprise. We really enjoyed our stay in this charming house and definitely recommend it to everyone staying in Matsumoto.
