Marwell Hotel was the only hotel available when I had to stay for last minute at 2am in the morning. Hassle free check in, great environment, comfortable bed. And the price was just right as well.
Front desk was very helpful in arranging the return transportation to my final destination, since my Uber app was not working, Shiva helped in arranging the transportation and advised us how to make the payment.
Loved our room, Comfortable, clean, friendly staff, bar & food was lovely.
The area of the hotel was close to everything. Very well positioned. Nice view of cathedral from the room. Nice size room. Staff was especially nice, helpful and friendly. Loved the cookies, coffee and tea. Breakfast was very nice, however not included in our room.
We loved the location, the charm, our room, the staff Andy the food!
I think the lady said it was built in the 16th century and the place has bags of character. We only stayed one night as we were moving on but if we were in the area again we would definitely stay again. We also ate in the restaurant and it was excellent. Could not fault food or service. The beer was pretty good too!
My husband and I recently stayed at the King’s head. Honestly, we cannot say enough about how wonderful this place was. The room was everything they described and extremely comfortable. All of the amenities plus some you didn’t think of were included from the soft fluffy towels to the warming rack in the bathroom and a carafe of springwater on our arrival. The staff made us feel welcome from the moment we stepped in the door and the food was superb. The menu offered wild game and a selection that you would not expect in a pub. The breakfast which was included in our stay was brilliant. If you’re looking for a relaxing stay, you cannot go wrong with this choice. Just 30 minutes out of Winchester, where we visited the Winchester Cathedral, and only 45 minutes from Portsmouth, where we visited the historic docks. We highly recommend this establishment.
Location was just what we were looking for, quiet and relaxing location just outside of winchester.
8/10, it's worth upgrading to privilege rooms.
Roomy, comfortable and clean
Comfortable bed, newly renovated room, clean, breakfast was great, room faced courtyard which was quiet and lovely. Peaceful and relaxing accommodation.
I stay here when I am in the area because it is so comfortable and quiet. The staff are lovely, the breakfast very good and the location excellent for walks, sightseeing and shopping.
Everything was amazing. The place itself, the room, the garden, the location and above all the atmosphere: authentic, cozy, beautiful.
Good location and a nice staff.
Lovely hotel with very friendly staff. Room was spacious and clean. Very nice leisure facilities with good sized pool for a nice swim. Had lovely meal in the evening and the staff were very friendly. Excellent breakfast in the morning. Very enjoyable stay.
Location perfect. Hotel charming. Staff very friendly.
Comfortable and clean accommodation in a quiet location. This is our second visit and we will come again.
Beautiful cottage in lovely quiet village. Easy cycle to the lakes
Quiet with convenient ground floor access to parking. Short walk to town and rail station.
Great location and decent value. Room was clean and had plenty of space in living area and kitchen. Bathroom somewhat small but worked for us.
