Pet-friendly hotels and homes in Kandy

Fantastic clean and very comfortable.

The owner was really nice and went above and beyond to help us during our stay. Room was clean and cosy. All facilities worked. We enjoyed the stay. The owner even organized for us a drive along with sightseeing with his son who was our driver. Thank to this we got to our next hotel and didn’t lost a day for drive but also could enjoy tea factory, museum, waterfall etc.

Excellent place to stay in Kandy! We could not be happier. The room was perfectly clean and the host was incredibly accommodating. He went above and beyond to help us arrange a variety of things we needed and to make us feel welcomed. The location is wonderful, close to the lake, close to the temple of the tooth and close to some nice restaurants.

The facility was excellent. The staff were excellent as well, very accommodating. Beautiful resort in the hills above Kandy, with a great view of the adjacent forest. Great food (breakfast, lunch, and dinner). The massage I got there was awesome too.

Our stay at The Buena Vista Kandy was truly unforgettable. One of the highlights was the authentic Sri Lankan cuisine—without a doubt, the best we’ve had anywhere. The in-house chef, Appu, has an incredible gift for understanding the taste preferences of each guest. Every meal felt personalized and prepared with heart. The hotel itself is perched on a hillside with an exceptional 180-degree view of Kandy, including the Temple of the Tooth and the Kandy Lake. We loved sipping fresh fruit juice in the serene garden while watching the bustling city below from this calm, peaceful retreat. Adding to the charm is the house itself—an architectural beauty designed by Geoffrey Bawa, blending old-world elegance with thoughtful detail. The decor, especially the original Picasso plates, gave the space a unique and artistic vibe. If you're looking for a place that combines breathtaking scenery, world-class local food, and cultural charm, The Buena Vista Kandy is simply outstanding. We can’t wait to return.

Great service and helpful staff

Perfect views on the top two floors' balconies, would definitely upgrade from the standard rooms on the lower floors. All about three balcony and beautiful Kandy views, super comfy beds and great staff and service

Lahiru is such a cool guy and his dog Lucky is very cute. He took me around the city to some secret spots I would have known by myself so that made my stay even better. If you want a quiet place to stay with nice views to the city and someone you can trust, this is your place.

I extremely recommend this place. The rooms were clean and the food was so tasty. The owner Sandy super friendly and helpful with everything you need. She helped us to find a TukTuk for really early in the morning although there was elections and more important she had some private issues, I hope this was not our last time at Kandy Living Villa & Homestay.

Good maintenance and customer service very good Nice location

If you’re tired of tourist traps, come here. I slept perfectly and enjoyed beautiful places without annoying crowds. Many thanks to the hosts for the kindness, the help. The truck ride to the waterfalls, temples, lake and fields was wonderful.

Mr Shawn, the owner of the property is just a man of his words even more he is very helpful and kind, he is a super human being. His property has all the amenities that you need. A well groomed kitchen. Visit his property and rest assured you will be overwhelmed it's just flawless.

Awesome location, outside the city chaos with a glorious view from the terrace. Only a short walk to the city, around the corner you’ll also find shops and bakeries. Staff super helpful and nice :) spacious rooms and comfy beds. great value overall.

The owner has a beautiful villa, and the room I got was nice and clean. The owner was very helpful, and the breakfast he prepared was fantastic. I highly recommend him.
