I loved this hotel so much! Highly recommend 👍 great location (so close to the train station) and everything was so clean and pretty. Marina at the reception was so kind and provided an excellent service. I was informed that the in-person check-in is only until 10 pm but my trains got delayed and cancelled, so I wasn’t sure if I could get there by 10 pm. Marina assured me that she will wait for me and she did! I only stayed there for one night but I actually wanted to stay longer 😁 if I ever go back to Singen, I’d definitely stay here again.

The room had a magnificent view of the mountains also it had a comfy table to sit at and drink wine admiring the views. The hotel is in a very quiet place, you can only hear the sounds of nature through the window, so slept very well. The breakfast was magnificent, everything was so fresh. After a week of traveling around Switzerland, I can clearly state that this was the best hotel.

    I loved the spa/pool area and the lovely pool was heated!! Everything was first class,really nice big towels, tea, water and fruit availability.     Easy access to transport some of which was free for tourists, particularly the buses and the trains. Boat ferries run everywhere around the lake quaint side streets with shops and restaurants and bars. Has quite an interesting history being in such a strategic location.

    I only stayed 1 night, as a stop on my way to Italy.

    I only stayed 1 night, as a stop on my way to Italy. Lovely city, I will for sure go back (and likely tour the whole lake). Only downside is to get there: roads were packed as hell, with lots of traffic jams. Much like the Italian lakes.

    We are in our 70s and like to feel safe where we stay and have things to do. We hired bikes and really enjoyed the area. No problem renting electric bikes just around the corner from our accommodation

    We were in Bregenz on the 23rd and 24th of August 2025.

    We were in Bregenz on the 23rd and 24th of August 2025. It was a coincidence that the Hafen Fest was on those days, and I cannot judge what is Bregenz usually like. For us there were too many people on the lake shore... but I know some people love this. The best places for me, must-sees: 1. Pfänderbahn (in good weather) 2. Lake shore (always, but especially at sunset) 3. Old downton (and Uppertown) We went everywhere on foot, and it suited us perfectly well.

    The abbey complex is the place you want to see if you are...

    The abbey complex is the place you want to see if you are interested in history: the museum, the vault and the library are amazing and absolutely worth the visit (and the price, that is even cheap). Getting around the town is easy, both walking and using the public transportation. If you arrive by car, remember that a great part of the center is not accessible, but there are parking areas open 24/7 that cost 20 CHF for 24h.

    We visited friends here and enjoyed the views over the lake and wandering around the waterfront. The city is known for the obvious focus of boating, bathing, and relaxing, but we also found a nice, downtown with historical charm. Try the Muenster St, Nikolaus for relics and an up-close trip back in time, and then explore the old town around it.

    A little off the beaten track, but plenty to do.

    A little off the beaten track, but plenty to do. Boating, swimming, rent bikes and visit the towns nearby. Hop on the bus (very simple to use and covered by the hotel tourist card) to visit nearby towns, get to the train station, or the ferry station. We were able to visit Lindau-Insel on a day trip by bus/train, spend 5-6 hours there, and still made it back in time for dinner and watching the sunset over the lake. Konstanz, and Insel Mainau are easily reachable by bus/ferry.

    Lovely old town on the Bodensee and Rhine. Beautiful walks along the River and Bodensee, very chilled, relaxed vibe along the river and around the lake. Make sure you go to Mainau Inselblumen, like Kew Gardens on steroids, but on an island.
