Adelaide is a great place. The people are so friendly.
Adelaide is a great place. The people are so friendly. Transport is easy to find and use, an amazing free bus & tram that circles the city. Driving is also very easy to do. A well planned city that is surrounded by amazing, picturesque parklands. Amazing restaurants and food. The 3 different winery areas all offer amazing experiences of wine, food, relaxation and art. The tours on offer are great and very informative. The zoo, botanic gardens, the markets, the casino, Himeji gardens, great shopping within the city. Then lovely beaches and wineries just a short drive away. Wanting the perfect way to relax - treat yourself to the paddle boat cruise at Murray River - food and cocktails so good. Something for everyone awaits you in Adelaide.Guest review byCatreenaAustralia - 6.0
Only stayed overnight as travelling through.
Only stayed overnight as travelling through. But did visit Umoona museum and mine tour and that was amazing and great value for money. Local IGA was well stocked, good variety. Outback Bar and Grill great food, but some portion sizes for some meals are questionable (pork ribs and salt and pepper squid).Guest review byEmmaAustralia - 2.0
Port Augusta is beyond disappointing.
Port Augusta is beyond disappointing. On the map it looks like it would be a great place to stay. In reality, it offers almost nothing for visitors other than an overnight stop for people going where they really want to go, which is clearly NOT Port Augusta. It has so much unrealised potential to be a 'destination' but its lack of desire to serve tourists leaves it as nothing more than a 'waypoint'.Guest review byAllynAustralia - 10.0

An old city with beautiful architecture but all of the modern shopping & food options. Lots to see and do, lakes, caves, sinkholes, lookouts, hikes. Coonawarra region just up the road & coast in other direction. Pine plantations full of black cockatoos. Overall well worth a visit.Guest review byNarelleAustralia - 10.0
A great little town. Friendly store keepers.
A great little town. Friendly store keepers. Lots of goodies to be found. And (most important for me,) the terrain is perfect to leave the car at the hotel and go for a long long walk! We brought our own food - mainly to save the pennies and the facility worked for us.Guest review byHeddle - 10.0

Great hotel next time I would book a river view as city view was just overlooking the carpark but the hotel itself was exceptional. Hotel food was really good and just 5 minutes is the beautiful Murray River which is a lovely walk .Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0
Lincoln National Park was exceptional and easily accessible.
Lincoln National Park was exceptional and easily accessible. Many great options for dining. The foreshore and esplanade were delightful to walk along. Port Lincoln is a perfect hub to explore the lower Eyre Peninsula from. We loved our stay.Guest review byLindaAustralia - 6.0
Room was clean and ok for an overnight stay.
Room was clean and ok for an overnight stay. Secure parking was appreciated. Unfortunately there was a constant noise all nigh. Sounded like it was outside the back window I presume it was a generator. It kept me awake and was annoying.Guest review byGrazynaAustralia - 8.0
I liked the ambiance of the place.
I liked the ambiance of the place. We had all our meals in the hotel itself, the serves are huge and very tasty. We didn't do too much walking due to a medical condition. The people we did meet were very friendly and it is a dog friendly town. The scenery is lovely and i would recommend walking along the foreshore and over too granite island or you could go across on the horse-drawn tram.Guest review bySandraAustralia - 6.0

Unfortunately, the Town is obviously struggling with the Steel Plant issues and the Trades and others I spoke with on this trip were very negative about the current and future prospects of Whyalla. The Town in my opinion needs a Birthday. Looking very sad unfortunately. I wasn't working at the Steel Works on this visit, wasn't remotely connected to Industry in Whyalla or surrounding areas. it was in the Whyalla CBD. I visit Whyalla at least once per year.Guest review byDarenAustralia
