The city looked so much cleaner than American cities.
The city looked so much cleaner than American cities. The traffic was controlled, the air was fresh, and the streets and sidewalks were clean and lighted. The urban blight so common in American cities was not visible, and the police presence was subtle but obvious.Guest review byDunkin - 6.0

Windsor wasn't exactly a cultural experience, although it did seem to have a diverse population, which was nice to see. We didn't find any hip shopping districts or cool "strips." The view of the river and the Detroit skyline was very cool, and many people were utilizing the riverwalk in the evening after dark. There were plenty of identifiable security personnel who made even the less-lit areas of the park feel relatively safe.Guest review byTank - 8.0

Wasn't much going on in town when I was there.
Wasn't much going on in town when I was there. Went to a beach about a 40 min. drive from there in a place called Erieau. However changerooms and washrooms were locked. Didn't spend as much time as i could have. Went to another place called Wheatley another 45 mins. Biting flies on the beach!Guest review byJAMESCanada - 4.0

It was close to Long Point, Port Dover etc. we loved the bed and how quiet it was. We were on the top floor and it was great. Breakfast area could be a bit bigger but the breakfast was great and a hot breakfast too! Coffee was really good.Guest review byMary LouCanada - 10.0
Leamington is a great area.
Leamington is a great area. Lots of farm so there is a lot of fresh produce daily so the foods from the restaurants were fresh. Public transportation is limited but the town/lakeside view is walkable. The ferry to Pelee Island requires you to book well in advance to secure your vehicle, but you can also buy tickets for same day visits. The area is great for the while family.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0

We visited the Elevated Park in the early evening, after the heat of the day. It was really lovely, with lots of wild flowers growing along the path up to the park. Once at the top, on the bridge itself, there was a lovely breeze and a beautiful view waiting for us. We stood at the railing, taking it all in. It is just a short, easy walk, but you can make it into a much longer walk, if you like, as the trail continues on down the other side. Bring a lock with you and your loved one's name or initials engraved or written on it, and lock it on the gate at the top, with the others - I thought this was really a sweet idea, and it was fun to look at all the different types of locks. Be sure to drive under the bridge to see the mural, and see the park from a different angle! Right nearby was this big elephant monument (just about a block away), so we walked over to find out what that was all about.. interesting! I would have loved to have seen the Waterworks Park (ponds, birds, plants) but we ran out of time.. We had a lovely time in St. Thomas.Guest review byLauraCanada - 10.0

Kingsville is the most southernly town in Canada and 15 minutes away from Point Pelee National Park which has a great long marsh boardwalk and outstanding shore lines. You can walk out to the very tip and stand on the most southernly part of mainland Canada which is on the same latitude as Northern California. Kingsville itself is a beautiful town and easy biking to see historic neighborhoods. Restaurants are good and easy to find on the main street. Service was great and people we ran into were very friendly and helpful if we had a question.Guest review byGeraldCanada
