    There was always one English -speaking staff at reception. We were so nicely upgraded to the Pearl Tower view, it's not the hub of the CBD but in a nice location for long walks, absolutely loved the room, the bathroom facilities and auto-bidet!!! Wow! Loved the tea selections (first time having Longjing tea), no one smoked within the hotel, it was kept clean and maintained. Housekeeping staff work very hard (clean 3 times a day!), and very friendly and always wanted to make your stay comfortable. The gym and swimming pool level had a cool complimentary BMI calculator.

    An exceptional stay at The Puli in Shanghai! Perfectly located by JinAn Temple and subway, the hotel offers great convenience. The staff, notably Charlene Yuan, were superb, providing service in fluent Chinese and English. We were pleasantly surprised by an upgrade to a spacious room, complete with modern amenities. The added luxury of fresh fruit in our room was delightful. The breakfast, with a wide variety of fresh, tasty Western options, was a daily treat. Can't wait to return!

    Our week in Shanghai was nothing short of amazing.

    Our week in Shanghai was nothing short of amazing. We explored a mix of hidden gems and iconic landmarks , Wukang Road, Anfu Road, Jing’an Temple, Yuyuan Garden, the Bund, and Lujiazui , and enjoyed shopping streets, cozy cafés, and local delicacies like xiaolongbao, shengjian, and crab roll noodles. Shanghai Disneyland was a highlight of the trip, with smooth entry and surprisingly short queues. The kids loved Zootopia, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Soaring Over the Horizon. Our guesthouse arranged a fantastic chauffeur service to Disneyland, which made the experience even better. The city itself impressed us with its balance of modern cityscapes and cultural charm. Despite the summer heat, we managed with tea house stops and flexible plans. This trip left us with many beautiful family memories, and we would gladly come back again. 🌟

    It was only a quick 3 day look,not nearly long enough,but something very different.We went when it was Chinese school holidays,i had no idea,millions of people everywhere,traffic a night mare,they has police everywhere to control the traffic and the public,and so hot 36c on one day and 35c on other when we left it was 37c.Most of the swimming pools are inside hotels not outside,which i did find a bit strange considering how hot it gets there.Taxis took us to the wrong locations a few times,not many speak English there.We did not travel great distances there because of the time schedule we had,hence really needed more time,there was so much i wanted to see.You need to have cash on you for the taxis and of course some will rip you of.In conclusion i would say it was quite good,but not the best holiday Ive had,we do lean more to beach type holidays,one thing i would say take plenty of money with you,its quite pricey
