Nuremburg is always a treat.
Nuremburg is always a treat. We've been there several times and never get tired of the incredible beauty this medieval city offers, including it's castle and wonderful local cuisine. It is a must see if you come to Germany. It's also a great location to day trip from. So many other great places to see within 90 minutes of here. If you have never been here catch the Bimmelbaum (little tourist train) first to get your bearings and maybe decide what things interest you most. Enjoy!Guest review byK.D.7Portugal - 8.0

Lovely city to have a stop during my drive to a business meeting. City has nice architecture and the Donau river gives the extra touch. Enough possibilities to have a nice lunch and diner. Can recommend Burgerheart when you want some nice American experience. Loved the peer-melon limonade. A very interesting historical city, much of which has been lovingly restored after devastating air raid damage in WW2. The Residence I(and its gardens) are well worth visiting, being a smaller scale version of the palaces at Versailles and Charlottenburg. Don't miss the Hofkirche while there. The Marienberg Fortress on the hill overlooking the town offers fantastic views, but is currently being extensively refurbished. It is still worth visiting though. And if you like visiting churches, you will not be disappointed here. Fantastic cuisine and wine available here. we can heartily recommend Aifach Resins and zum Stachel, the former for more contemporary cuisine and the latter for more traditional fare in traditional and historic surroundings.Guest review byDavidUnited Kingdom - 10.0

This is Mecca for Wagner fans in July and August. The acoustics of the Festspielhaus are superb and unique--no other place achieves that blend of voice and orchestra. US army base has been re-purposed as a sort of yuppy neighborhood. Major park contains a coffee shop to watch the locals. Our experience at this accommodation was terrible from start to finish. The staff were extremely rude, unprofessional, and aggressive. They refused to speak English, even when we asked politely, and insisted on speaking only in German with a visibly hostile attitude. When we arrived, they tried to charge us more than the price listed online. We ended up booking the room through Booking.com, where the price was half of what they initially asked us for. Even though the listing said “free parking on site,” they charged us extra for it anyway. The room itself was a disaster — dirty, old, smelly, and clearly not maintained. When we tried to take a shower after a long day, we discovered there was no hot water. We went to reception to ask for help, and again, the receptionist refused to speak English. Eventually, he claimed the entire building had plumbing issues. However, minutes later, he said he could give us another room with hot water — clearly contradicting his earlier excuse. We waited for him to show us the new room, but he just left us standing there. When we asked again, he started shouting in German and refused to help us any further. In the end, we had no choice but to take cold showers and go to bed extremely disappointed. We tried to report the issue through Booking.com, but unfortunately received no response. This place was truly a nightmare, and I would strongly advise others to avoid it at all costs.Guest review byAnonymous - 6.0
