Not only were the buildings and rooms exceptional in regard to style, comfort, and details, but also the grounds were spectacular. We had traveled via bicycle from Bilbao on our way to San Sebastian and the proprietor made sure we had a safe place to store the bikes (as well as charge e-bikes). Our stay happened to coincide on one of the evenings when the Casa didn't provide a dinner service but the proprietor helped us with a reservation at a nearby restaurant and even offered us the use of a property vehicle to drive to the restaurant and back so we wouldn't have to bike on the dark country roads at night. The next morning the breakfast was phenomenal and certainly provided us with the energy to cycle to our next destination! Despite our short stay, we will fondly remember our experience at Jesuskoa and would love to return for a longer visit if we find ourselves again in the Basque country!Guest review byManishaUnited States

The main entrance is a bit off a main street which was near residential and shopping area. All my favorite sites where reachable via foot. The Guggenheim Museum was a 15 minute walk, the old town was 20 minutes walk but you go through the Grand Via. A nice leisurely walk to the old town was simply unexpected. What I did love was the room lay out. There was an ante sitting room before the bedroom. Very cozy and well lit despite the low floor and no view. I did not mind. We loved the food although we should have paced ourselves better! Lovely town and good connections to other places. Although you suggest that there are great activities for 'young couples like you' we are in our seventies but yes it was good. We mainly walked other than to get to the more remote restaurants. The walking tour is really worth doing because of the history of the place. Donostia is a Basque city and special. Lots of good places to eat - some not the places everyone goes to and which are overcrowded. Transport links are good and you can also book tours. Bigger than you expect.
Bigger than you expect. Central old town easy to explore without a car. A car allows you to see many lovely little villages in glorious rolling green hills.
