Location is between Cambridge and St. Neots, with easy access to both. There is plenty of free onsite parking in a well lit, clean lot. The people at reception were knowledgeable and friendly, and check-in was efficient and quick. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, the shower had plenty of pressure. It was quite soundproofed. There was ample space to hang clothing. There was a coffee station in the room. There was no refrigerator in the room - but we were allowed to keep our perishable items in the hotel refrigerator. We appreciated this consideration.

City full of fantastic architecture and history.

City full of fantastic architecture and history. Beautiful river and punting. Great selection of bars and restaurants although they do close very early compared to other places. We went outside term time - city weirdly has a very Chinese/Korean culture.

Ely is a compact city and the sights can be seen is a day. The jewel is undoubtedly the cathedral which is stunning. We ascended the octagon tower which is a 'must'. A riverside walk is also very worthwhile.

Wisbech is very run down and generally unpleasant in my opinion. I went there for an event which was good, but if you have no prior reason to visit, I would recommend giving it a miss. I’ve added no photos cos I took none. The castle and church are fine buildings, as are some of the run down buildings. On Saturday lunchtime there was a group of Eastern European men drinking beer and openly urinating in the churchyard, it didn’t get much better in the town area.

Lovely town with many lovely places to eat, and quite a few shops to browse. We ate at The Barley Mow, where the Sunday Lunch was fantastic. Also ate out at the Akbar Indian Restaurant, where the food was very good and well priced. On our final day we ate at Bridge House, where we sat in the garden, overlooking the river. It was beautiful :) The food was fresh and very tasty and the staff were lovely.

Clean. Spacious room overlooking barley fields. Friendly staff and a tasty breakfast buffet that was all a traveller would need. Excellent value and good to know the Old Great North Road =B1043 which is clue how to get there! We ate authentic Indian cuisine at the Resto next door and took good Value diesel at the 24/7 pumps also next door.

This was ideal for what we needed, we were attending a concert at the nearby Audsley End Hall & Gardens. By taxi it was about a 10 minute journey , you can book Uber yourself, but remember they are more expensive later in the evenings. The reception has local taxi numbers, but again they are also quite expensive. If you are using your own car to go anywhere , the site is very secure and you have ample parking space. The grounds are lovely so you can have a nice walk , and the facilities are great. There are a couple of bars and the main dining room is lovely. The rooms are spacious and modern. Huge Beds that are really comfy.

Cambridge is just wonderful and plenty of amazing parks.

Cambridge is just wonderful and plenty of amazing parks. Transport are excellent but if the weather is nice just rent a bike because South England is very plain and beautiful (biker paradise). Rent a car just for one day and travel around some gorgeous villages around (like Hemingford) where you'll find ethereal peace and no flock of tourists. The English drivers are polite and not aggressive like the Italian ones.. For the best coffee we suggest The Locker. We are in love with british pub (Fort St.George, The Eagle) and Green King Cambridshire beer... try Abbot. We were very lucky to attend the Cambridge Folk Festival which we really really loved.. not just for the great music but for the kind of atmosphere which can be found only in Britain...
