We loved how everything was walking distance. Sindagma. Plaka. Every street and lane had somewhere to sit and eat or drink. Souvenirs were everywhere. The people were very nice. The service everywhere was amazing. The shopping was amazing also.Guest review byAuzzy TravellersGreece - 10.0

Staying in Piraeus was a great decision before my ferry trip. The hotel was just a short walk from the port, which made it super convenient for early departures. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and everything worked well. There are plenty of cafés, bakeries, and shops nearby, and public transport into Athens is very easy. If you're catching a ferry or just want to stay near the sea, this is a great spot!Guest review byNicole WeygandtItaly - 6.0

Convenient location close to the airport 20Euros pickup from the airport and 20E return. Our apartment was 8-10 minutes from food locations which really was only one restaurant open on a Monday night - I expected more choice. Though we were happy with the food we bought.Guest review byDebAustralia - 10.0

I had the most wonderful stay in Artemida, Greece, and cannot say enough good things about this accommodation! Christianna was an exceptional host—so kind and communicative. Self-check in was easy and after a long day of travel to the Athens airport, the generous welcome treats she left were such a thoughtful and appreciated touch. The space itself is absolutely beautiful—immaculately clean, tastefully decorated, and exactly as shown in the photos (if not better!). The wrap-around balcony was a highlight, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the sea—perfect for morning coffee or evening sunsets. The location is ideal, just steps from the waterfront and a scenic walking path that leads straight into the charming town centre. I truly wish I could have stayed longer. I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a peaceful, well-appointed stay near Athens. Thank you, Christianna, for such a memorable experience!Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

We had choice to go to one of three closest islands near Athens. Aegina is big and the closest to Athens so quite crowded on weekends where Athenians escape from the heat. Hydra is quite beautiful but a bit expensive, no sandy beaches near center and no transport on island except of horses and donkeys (it is charming, though, worth to visit for one day). So the last choice was Poros, with moderate prices, nice beaches, even free municipal bus, and 5 minutes boat ride to the mainland village of Galatas, which also has great restaurants to enjoy authentic Greek cuisine.Guest review byKA111ERGeorgia - 6.0

What we liked most was the ease of getting around, the lovely shops, the swimming hole off the rocks, the viewing spots, the atmosphere, friendly locals. We ate from the supermarket - the abundant breakfast at Hotel Mistral meant we only needed to snack the rest of the day. We aren’t restaurant people anyway. We loved eating on a park bench while the sun was setting and the temperature cooling slightly. Walking around Hydra is easy, mostly flat and nothing is too far away. What we didn’t like was the pretentious feeling while walking through the town. It was like being on the tv set of “The Real Wives of Hollywood”. So many false women strutting their stuff with their fancy clothes (or lack thereof), admiring themselves in every shop window, dressed like they were in Hollywood rather than a relaxed Greek island. So much pretense and falseness over 5 days was a bit over the top.Guest review byLizzieMNew Zealand - 10.0
Beautiful area quiet, just want we needed.
Beautiful area quiet, just want we needed. All shop owners so friendly and polite too. Best taverna in the area would suggest 100% Kyriakakis right on the front, overlooking the sea, absolutely gorgeous. Food delicious, every dish we ordered better that the next. Wish we could eat more. Even had breakfast the next morning and all was perfect. The staff brilliant, polite and friendly.Guest review byEleftheriaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

A colorful and vibrant island, with beautiful shops and excellent restaurants. Like everywhere in Greece, the locals are friendly, and the atmosphere is wonderful. When booking the ferry, pay attention—there are two ports on the island: one is the main port, and the other is secondary. The main port brings you closer to the livelier, more touristy area. In any case, even if you arrive at the other port by mistake, you can easily take a taxi or a bus to the other side of the island.Guest review byLeviaIsrael
