We could not have had a better check in experience, the staff were exceedingly lovely to myself and my mom, and we were lucky enough to get upgraded to a bigger room. My mom was over the moon happy with the accommodation, we had never been on a vacation like this before so it truly meant so much to both her and me. I couldn’t believe my eyes when looking at the views of the town from different angles—especially from Fort Lovrijenac, which looked like a painting. We were two couples and got the three-day ticket to visit most of the attractions, which was definitely worth it. We also took a 4-hour private boat tour, which was amazing. The skipper took us wherever we wanted to go and shared many interesting stories about the town. Another highlight was the cable car, which gave us even more astonishing views of the Old Town. We ended up eating at three restaurants that were “sister” restaurants, each offering the best views, spectacular service, and delicious food. We had three full days there, and I think it was absolutely worth it to stay inside the Old Town—everything was so accessible. We even managed to enjoy the beach on our last afternoon. I only wish we could have stayed one more day to take another tour to one of the nearby countries, like Montenegro. Dubrovnik was unforgettable!Guest review byAlvarezCanada - 10.0

Cavtat is a beautiful place, with many attractions great for walking and relaxing. It is very easy to get around, you can take the water taxi to visit Dubrovnik or local bus. There is quite long promenade at the coast, there is Gelateria Croccantino with delicious ice cream, cakes and cheese + pumpkin pie, there are nice boat excursions to 4 islnds (Vrnik, Korčula (Lumbarda), Badija and Stupa Velika), there is cheap ship ride to the town of Korčula many times per day. Vela Luka is a hidden gem! It’s not overly touristic, which was exactly the appeal for us. The days are slow and relaxed, the food is delicious, and the people are lovely — it feels like a more authentic side of Croatia. It’s the perfect place to unwind, but at the same time there’s plenty to do. We went scuba diving, spent time at the beach, tried different restaurants, and enjoyed walking around. Honestly, we could have easily stayed at least two weeks just relaxing and exploring the different areas. You get to see both, and all the islands in front (use hop on and off option!) while relaxing. Korčula gets crowded and is a bit pricey.
