- From $188.68 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Excellent - What previous guests thought, 602 reviewsAbsolutely perfect staff !! receptionists I talked to ... , staff in the restaurant ... , cleaning service ... every single person I met was friendly and helpful. This is not always a standard also in other 4* hotels, especially during high season and fully booked hotel. What else ? we missed the dinner first evening (as we arrived too late), the dinner was waiting for us prepared in our room ! without asking/ordering in advance. Absolutely quiet location in the night, after 22:30 you can hear waves from the sea also in rooms oriented to the pool. No noise from other guests, no shouting & laughing from the bar ... The hotel was full of families with children (including mine) and the night was really quiet every time - I was surprised - we could sleep with window open although our room was oriented to the pool. Hotel was fully booked but there were no queues in restaurant, neither morning nor lunch or dinner, as mentioned already, the staff did a great job. Food was very good and tasty, with so many choices of cold and warm kitchen, fresh fruits and vegetables. Nothing was missing even if we came 15 minutes before closing ! We also very much enjoyed Croatian water melons, they were just great. Big plus is also an option to eat on big and spacious terrace (if it's not too hot), close to promenade. Room was pretty small and simple furnished, but clean and practical. However the stay in this hotel was not about the room, but rather about the service and the food and the sea of course ...Guest review byMilanSlovakia
- From $166.31 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.3Good - What previous guests thought, 626 reviewsThe hotel is located in the peaceful area of Hvar island, surrounded by beaches on both sides of the hotel. The hotel is renovated, clean and comfortable. The rooms are spacious and equipped with air conditioning (unnecessary) and TV that we never used. :) Where should I start? The food is delicious, there is plethora of seafood everyday (salmon, octopus, swordfish, dorada, shark...). The service is amazing, everyone is kind and helpful. The hotel is pet friendly which is a BIG plus! And above all, if you want to be relaxed, you are at the right place. The nature here, the beaches, the warm and peaceful sea, kind people, plenty of cool beach bars makes you feel like you are in heaven. And all of that, at a excellent price.Guest review byMilan ZaricSerbia

A very buzzy place with lots of history, sights and sounds. Split might be a tourist destination but it lives up to the hype. The old town is great to walk round, the palace and its environs are easily accessible and you will be spoilt for choice with eateries.Guest review byNickUnited Kingdom - 10.0

A small, charming town filled with tourists, restaurants, and shops. I’d recommend spending a day and a half to truly take in the atmosphere and history. Consider hiring a guide or using a quality audio tour for a brief but informative overview.Guest review byAlexandraUnited States - 6.0

Makarska is nice place to visit in June and September. July and August is very hot and a lot off tourists on the beach, and on the streets. A lot of traffic, problem to find parking place. We only walk and stay overnight in Makarska center. Biokovo skywalk is fantasticGuest review bySlobodankaNorway - 10.0

Hvar is beautiful and has enough to be relaxing, or to have fun and excursions if you want them. The recent sound curfew means it is a great place for those not so keen on being kept up by those partying, but there is a lively atmosphere in Hvar Town. The beaches are all pebbly and public, so open to all. Beach shoes are a must, but there are ample sun loungers to rent and the water is crystal clear. There are loads of restaurants and cafes, and no hassling by them trying to get you in, which was refreshing. There is lots to do, the fort is worth the walk, and there are numerous boat trips to the other beautiful islands, there are water sports and an inflatable aqua park too.Guest review byJoUnited Kingdom - 10.0
For me, this is simply the best place in Croatia.
For me, this is simply the best place in Croatia. It's smaller than, for example, Makarska, and lacks noisy clubs and loud nightlife, which I consider strong advantages. You can find everything you need: beautiful beaches, bars, snack stands, and upscale restaurants. Renting a sunbed or umbrella is easy, and exciting water sports equipment, such as water jets, is also available. Highly recommended.Guest review byKrzysztofPoland - 10.0
Perfect for a chill holiday.
Perfect for a chill holiday. Beautiful, lots to do, great restaurants. Would recommend the Golden Horn beach for a swim, booking SUP boards for some exercise and wine tasting at Stina winery. If you decide not to do the wine tasting tour, it's a lovely place to sit and drink their amazing whites on the promenade overlooking the sea. My favourite restaurant was Vendetta - Sushi boats for 2 are a must! Family run Pumparela restaurant at the Port was also superb, delicious food (including vegetarian for my daughter) and really friendly. EnjoyGuest review byMaryUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Nice beautiful place but mostly if you are with car so you can move around in all Makarska and even Split and Trogir quiet easily, food isnt the strong side of this area ,best time to go is September or June for sea and sunGuest review byShimi MichaeliFinland - 2.0

We were only there for 6 hours and it felt too long. I booked it to be close to the airport. Maybe if we'd checked in earlier it would have felt less creepy, but our room's lighting was awful and it was dark and empty. More like a hostel but expensive for what it offered.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

Initially we thought it was a bit far from Split, but then realised it has a lot to offer (good beaches, restaurants, cafes) and transport into Split is one bus ride. For us it was all we needed - swimming every day in sea and hotel pool, good lunches and dinners in local restaurants, a trip to Split and a trip to the island of Brac for variety. Omis nearby is interesting too.Guest review byWebsterUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Crystal clear water and you can see straight to the bottom...
Crystal clear water and you can see straight to the bottom even when it’s deep. The water is so clean it’s almost unreal, like swimming in a giant natural pool. If you love pristine beaches and amazing water quality, this place is absolutely worth it. The only downsides are that getting into the water can be a bit tricky since it’s rocky rather than sandy beaches. Also, the supermarkets have very limited options - even the biggest one doesn’t have much variety if you’re planning to cook during your stay.Guest review byЕвгений ПрусовGermany
