The town was quiet and relaxed and pleasant to walk around.
The town was quiet and relaxed and pleasant to walk around. It was much smaller than anticipated and compared to other cities, it had limited tourist attractions. As seasoned Italian travellers and explorers, from Lake Garda to Calabria and everything in-between, there was nothing outstanding about the city and its views compared to its nearby neighbours of the towns of Amalfi and Ravello. Sadly, we were both somewhat underwhelmed.Guest review byMike OrUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Favorite place to eat: Without question, Pizza al Metro.
Favorite place to eat: Without question, Pizza al Metro. It’s a must-try experience—the pizza is delicious, authentic, and the portions are perfect for sharing. Where we ate: Most of the time, we enjoyed a mix—some meals at home, plenty of pizza at Pizza al Metro, lunches and snacks while out on the boat, and groceries from Conad when we wanted something simple. Getting around: Getting around Vico Equense is very easy—if you have a car. The roads are manageable, parking is available with some planning, and driving makes it simple to explore the surrounding towns and coast. Without a car, moving around could be more challenging. Fun activities for groups of friends: Visiting Positano – an absolute must for its iconic views, boutique shops, and vibrant atmosphere. Exploring Pompeii – a fascinating and powerful experience, especially with a good guide. Renting a boat – one of the highlights, giving us the freedom to enjoy the coastline, swim in hidden spots, and see the Amalfi Coast from the sea. Overall, Vico Equense was a perfect base for both relaxation and adventure—amazing food, convenient location, and plenty of activities for groups of friends.Guest review byDumitrița - 10.0

Our stay at Ristorante Hotel La Primavera could not have been better. The room and hotel were wonderful. The food was great. Best of all the service was 5 star! My wife and I were treated like special guests and family the entire time. Claudio, Nino, Luigi, and Marina and the kitchen staff went out of their way to make everything perfect. We will miss them and hope to see them one day again!Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0

We enjoyed staying in Sant'Agnello - it's quieter and less touristy than nearby Sorrento, but within a 20 minute walk to Sorrento if you want more shops, bars and restaurants. The Sant'Agnello harbour is beautiful with stunning views of Vesuvius. You can walk up into Sant'Agnello town in 10 mins, where many Italians live. Trains to Naples, Pompeii and Herculaneum leave Sant'Agnello station regularly.Guest review byNicolaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

A very peaceful and beautiful place with an extraordinary coastline. It’s not overcrowded at all. There are many good restaurants in the center. Like in many other places in Italy, there are no pavements along the road, so stay alert and watch out.Guest review byRothbartHungary - 10.0

Local Sita bus available and frequent - central to visit Piano de Sorrento, north to naples and down south to Sorrento, Positano and Amalfi Coast. It was fantastic. Great views.
It was fantastic. Great views. Beautiful culture, area, lots to do. Kitchen is a bit small if you plan on cooking every meal but you don’t need to. Affordable local restaurants are walking distance and the best food we had in Italy. Try Eugenia. - restaurant a bit down from the church.Guest review byJonathonUnited States - 10.0
Amazing place to stay with your family or friends.
Amazing place to stay with your family or friends. We enjoyed every moment in the villa. Perfect location to visit Sorrento and Amalfi coast. Well equipped kitchen and outdoor grill allows to enjoy lovely dinners in the terrace with the sea view. Moreover, pool and lemon tree garden allows you to cool down from the heat. And finally, Pino is such an amazing host! He helped us with everything we need, from finding best restaurants around to having some music in the villa.Guest review byAgneBaLithuania - 10.0

I stayed here for 2 nights and did an Amalfi Coast boat tour to visit Positano and Amalfi from Sorrento (there are many good options for this on Viator, i would highly recommend it). Sorrento was such a beautiful and active city. The food was delicious and there were plenty of shops to see when you walk down the street. It felt very safe and welcoming. I loved how active the city streets were even later in the night.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0
Vico Equense is a charming town on the way to Sorrento.
Vico Equense is a charming town on the way to Sorrento. Because of that, traffic is quite busy. We highly recommend taking the train, it is only 15 minutes to Sorrento and about 30 minutes to Pompeii. During our stay they had a street food festival which was quite unique and unexpectedly adding to the charm. All restaurants serve wonderful food! Take a walk around town to visit the many beautiful churches, spectacular ocean views, playground for kids, and many shops. The only disadvantage is the longer walk/lots of stairs to get to the beaches and the expense of renting a sun chair and umbrella. Although we joined lots of other tourists, Vico Equense was 'quiet' compared to Sorrento. We loved it!Guest review byMatthewUnited States
