- From $96.13 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very Good - What previous guests thought, 445 reviewsNice room, comfy futons, hot water kettle , great view of Mount Myoko . You get a Yukata ( a cotton kimono ) for each person to walk in within the hotel premises. A change of towels every day .A delicious Japanese breakfast , a nice lobby to sit , have tea and read . Small but great great indoor / outdoor onsen . We were there on off season but had a wonderful dinner at a nearby coffee/ restaurant called Yamanoie cafe . Go there it’s absolutely worth is . It’s a homey restaurant run by a lovely Japanese host . There is also a delicious confectionery store just a few meters away from the Kufokan hotel . We had fresh absolutely amazing chestnut tarts . It’s run by two so lovely Japanese ladies . It must be a well known confiserie because the store was very busy . What a great off season experience .Guest review byBrigittaCanada
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.6Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 39 reviewsThe owners Kimi and Miyu are wonderful people, and their kids are awesome too! Breakfast was good with lots of variety and different items every day. All of the facilities, including our room were very well kept and very clean. They gave great suggestions about where to eat and where to enjoy the slopes. Best of all was just hanging out with them and the other guests at the end of the day, while all of the kids played together. I recommend the yuzu sake with a splash of gin!Guest review byAllanJapan
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very Good - What previous guests thought, 70 reviewsThe lodge is in a forest at 1000m altitude. There is deep snow all around in Winter. Our room had a beautiful view over the forest. The lodge has its own small indoor and outdoor onsens. Full board is provided. Dinner and breakfast are Japanese style with good quality ingredients. They get a lot of snow, a storm cycle can easily bring 50cm of snow overnight so be prepared to dig your car out in the morning, although the access road is cleared daily.Guest review byMargueriteAustralia
- From $107.56 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.7Good - What previous guests thought, 92 reviewsThe Staff were fantastic as were the meals, Breakfast and Dinner. This is located outside of the main Akakura tourist area and without a car can be a little difficult getting to Akakura, but having 2 meals per day catered for (Optional extra) is highly recommended. You couldn't get the same value else where in a restaurant and it's on site. Bravo on the convenience and quality of food. Congratulations on such a service to your customers.Guest review byTerenceAustralia
- From $174.79 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Excellent - What previous guests thought, 110 reviewsIt is one of the best ski resorts for beginner. The slope is a good challenge for newbies and the lift ticket is cheap and not crowded at all. I can get to snowboarding right in the back of the hotel. I would recommend it for families with elderly and kids. The dinner is included and it is very good and delicious.Guest review byNATTAKARNThailand

Myoko is an incredible region of fun, the mountains offer heaps of ski resorts with fantastic runs, lessons, places to dine and sit with a hot beverage or refreshen beer or sake. Its wonderful for both families and those who are daring to hit the slopes for thrills. The hotel shuttles, local buses and taxis make travel from resort to various slopes, very easy. The locals are exceptionally helpful and friendly.Guest review byBec DoyleAustralia - 10.0
The snow in Myoko is otherworldly.
The snow in Myoko is otherworldly. The powder is unimaginably great and really loved visiting Seki Onsen Ski Area. It's a small, family-owned ski area run by the Inoue Family who are the kindest and most hospitable people you'll find anywhere in Japan. Family-owned and run ski areas are in decline with large corporations buying up ski areas across Japan, so it was a real treat to ski at an area where the snow was perfect and you're supporting a local business. 10 our 10 for Seki Onsen Ski Area!Guest review byAaronUnited States - 10.0
Ski areas vary considerably in the area.
Ski areas vary considerably in the area. Akakura Onsen has absolutely the worst lifts i have experienced in Japan. When they weren't broken down they were extremely slow. On the other hand Suginohara has a new gondola and modern 'high' speed lifts. This was the pick of the mountains to ski for me.Guest review byAnonymous
