We found Chiang Mai is very clean and clam, it's not loud...
We found Chiang Mai is very clean and clam, it's not loud even in the night market, it's a good place to relax from a busy city life. There are lots of cafe to choose in different area of the city, providing good quality coffee and we bought some beans back too. The living cost here is so low, compare to Bangkok and Phuket, Chiang Mai is much more cheaper but the standard has not much difference. We have good shopping here, souvenirs are better price here, and the good as well, most of the local food are below 100Thb, always good price for a meal. one of the best thing in Chiang Mai is the distance to visit local /traditional villages, famous temples or forest is not far, it's like 1-1.5hrs drive then you will be far from the town, it's great to go 1 day trip to see the green or something different.Guest review byShadowYipHong Kong - 10.0
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Lhong Chiang Dao...
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Lhong Chiang Dao Glamping in Chiang Mai, and I can confidently say it was one of the most incredible hospitality experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, the host and staff went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcomed and comfortable. Every request we made was met with genuine warmth and enthusiasm, which made our stay even more special. The glamping site itself is immaculately maintained, with cleanliness being a top priority. Surrounded by the soothing sounds of a nearby waterfall 24/7, it truly felt like we were immersed in nature. It’s the perfect place to disconnect from the hustle of everyday life and reconnect with the serene beauty of the outdoors. One of the most magical moments was at night—around 11 PM onwards, the sky came alive with countless stars, offering an awe-inspiring view you rarely get to experience in the city. If you’re looking for a solid glamping experience with unparalleled hospitality, breathtaking natural surroundings, and starry skies, Lhong Chiang Dao Glamping is the place to go. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful yet enriching escape. Thank you to the entire team for making this a stay to remember!Guest review byTanSingapore - 8.0
The homestay was perfect for us because we had a vehicle.
The homestay was perfect for us because we had a vehicle. It would be difficult for those who do not have a vehicle. We had a great time cycling around Mae Rim, including sections of the "Lanna Trail".Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0
Lovely place for spending a relaxed weekend.
Lovely place for spending a relaxed weekend. Watch the sunrise over teh valley, stare into the clear skies and the stars at night. Visit the tribal villages, the fruit orchards (strawberries and oranges) and the flower gardens. Enjoy a tranquil time.Guest review bySanyamIndia - 10.0
Chom Tong is a small town about 1.5 hour from Chiang Mai.
Chom Tong is a small town about 1.5 hour from Chiang Mai. Travellers use it as the base to explore Doi Inthanon. There is a decent choice of F&B establishments, supermarket, cinema, etc. Best explored if you have transport (rental car or taxi service which can be booked by the day)Guest review byW SukiSingapore - 10.0

The property is far from anything and the road is quite hard to get up especially at night as there are no street lights. The view is easily the main attraction though as well as the bathtub. Food was the Moo Kata which was 490 which was about right for 2 people. Breakfast was okay.Guest review byPitak YindeeamornchaiThailand - 10.0
We stayed 3 nights in Chaing Mai with our boys age 15 & 17.
We stayed 3 nights in Chaing Mai with our boys age 15 & 17. Loved the area, the city, the people. So much to do! Tiger Kingdom is well worth a visit, joint with an ethical elephant visit and the waterfall at Buathong is definitely worth a climb. Please visit Fern Forest cafe for amazing food. And the night market at the old city gates is a must for every visit to indulge in street food of any variety.Guest review byAnnaUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Welcoming little town well worth visiting.
Welcoming little town well worth visiting. The temple and the caves are great but the best thing for me was that I stumbled into a bar up near the cave which is called . . The Cave bar. This place has to be visited if at all possible. Wonderful hostess and a really chilled, funky vibe.Guest review byDavidUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Beautiful spot, but very isolated, making visiting tourist attractions and temples expensive. Please be aware....some taxi drivers do not speak English at all and have to communicate via Google translate.Guest review bygabrieleAustralia - 10.0
The cool & freezing weather.
The cool & freezing weather. Must stay here for atleast one night if you have a trip to Chiang Mai. Experience the beautiful flower farm and walking distance. You will appreciate the morning fresh air & cool cloudy fog if you dont mind walking to the flower farm nearby within 15min walk . For Muslim, even though it is only one restaurant that offer halal food , but the taste was worth the price. Will repeat next time if i travel to Chiang Mai.Guest review byRosnitaMalaysia
