Unspoilt Since the Time of the Pilgrim Fathers

Famed for beautiful sand dunes, Cape Cod boasts wonderful sunsets that silhouette lighthouses. It is joined to mainland Massachusetts by 2 bridges, one by the oldest town Sandwich, and the other by Bourne – the youngest.

Falmouth to the south has beautiful New England architecture and one of the cape wineries. The world’s largest oceanographic institute is in neighbouring Woods Hole, from where ferries depart to Martha’s Vineyard, an exclusive island escape where the wealthy as well as water birds flock to.

The beautiful Nantucket island beaches are also a wildlife haven, and its main town has a historic cobbled street. Ferries from here run to Hyannis, famous for its association with the Kennedys and where most Cape Cod hotels with indoor pools on Booking.com are found.

To the east, Chatham is sheltered by offshore dunes where seals often bask. Eastham, to the north, has a historic windmill and lighthouses, and is the gateway to the protected Cape Cod National Seashore. At its tip is liberal Provincetown, where the Pilgrim Fathers first set foot on US soil. Whalewatching trips depart from here and it also has several Cape Cod hotels on the beach.

Across the inner bay is Brewster with its popular clam shack, and Barnstable which has some of the cape’s oldest buildings.

The staff kindly upgraded our booking to a water facing room, due to it being our tenth wedding anniversary. A lovely touch that made our stay so much better. Shuttle bus ran every half hour just outside our room, with the friendliest bus drivers I've ever met. Five minute journey into Provincetown centre. Great swimming pool. My wife and I hope to return to this hotel some day. I strongly recommend The Harbor Hotel for a wonderful and affordable stay in Provincetown.

You can definitely tell that it’s a new hotel—the facilities were in excellent condition, everything was clean, and the overall experience was on point. One important thing to keep in mind: if you book through a third-party website, water park passes may not be included, so confirm before booking.

We found Provincetown to be a bit too tourist-oriented and...

We found Provincetown to be a bit too tourist-oriented and too pricey, but we also very much appreciated its more traditional charms and its closeness to wonderful beaches. There are some very pleasant restaurants where we were fortunate to have had good tables with good views but we can imagine that it is all-a-jostle in the busy season. We prefered the charms of Tuoro and Wellfleet and Hyannis in the course of our month on the Cape. But my goodness everywhere had its distinctive gifts and the Cape was ALL GOOD Everywhere !!! Gotta rush off now !!!

After 30 years of "vacationing" in Falmouth, I’m pretty sure I own emotional real estate here. It’s a small Cape Cod town with enough shops to ruin your budget and enough beaches on Vineyard Sound to make hopping between them a full-time job. We stay at the Falmouth Tides because why change perfection? When we aren't at the beach, we’re aggressively eating: breakfast or lunch at the Pickle Jar, dinner at Quarter Deck, or seafood with a view at The Flying Bridge. And don't even get me started on Maison Villatte—it’s so ridiculously good it ruins every other bakery on the planet. Massachusetts doesn't deserve those croissants, and neither do we.

it's a mini city lots to see, lots to do. You can get out onto the water, go to one of the off shore islands, you can ride a train. There's a beach. Lots of dining options, or picnic out of the supermarket. At night lots of adult entertainment to choose from.

Chatham is a wonderful place to visit any time of year.

Chatham is a wonderful place to visit any time of year. It has beautiful beaches, a picturesque main street with great shops and restaurants (including two bookstores and multiple art galleries), an iconic band concert every Friday night in Summer, as well as free access to Summer Cape Cod Baseball League games at Veterans' field. Although very crowded over the Fourth of July week, it is worth it if you want to watch one of the best parades on the Cape!

Main Street shops, beautiful visitors stop. Restaurants great. Spouse's Birthday celebration @ Restaurant and had fantastic service, food was great and atmosphere was superb. Restaurant was The Skipper.

Honestly it's a great place to visit very convenient with all the stores and food restaurants. My partner and I went up there during a storm so it wasn't too fun because you were in the hotel the whole time however the whole time was super warm the kitchen was great and we were able to watch great movies. The location was wonderful about an hour and 30 minutes away from home. Definitely would recommend if you need to stay here for a few nights just to enjoy Yarmouth and the cape itself

Eastham was exactly where we wanted to be.

Eastham was exactly where we wanted to be. Easy to get to Wellfleet, Orleans and Chatham, as well as P'town. Great location for beaches and walking/bike trail. Only drawback was how long it took to get there once on the Cape. Traffic was very heacy on route 6.

Not as many small shops to peruse as I would have liked. The Heritage Museum and Glass museum were fun and interesting. Surprised that mid August many stores closed by 5pm Many restaurants closed on Monday and Tuesday. Enjoyed the food at The Local best.

Cape Cod, and especially Yarmouth is a great destination. Everyone was very polite and the restaurants are very numerous. Food is exceptional. This is definitely a destination that everyone should consider in their future plans.

All the amenities closed very very early o we're not...

All the amenities closed very very early o we're not available we did not get ro use any of them. Most the rest was closed down the office staff was only there 1/2 a day each day and we're not very helpful. I would not recommend. The area is wonderful just don't stay here.
