Pigeon forge is the myrtle beach of the mountains.
Pigeon forge is the myrtle beach of the mountains. There are so many amazing attractions you will never be bored! There are hotels to fit all budgets and so many good places to eat. The Old Mill is my favorite restaurant of all times. The food takes me back to Sundays at Gran's after church. The island is an all day adventure with food, attractions, and so many cute shops. The 7D adventure ride is fun and you can get so many discounts on line. The rocky top mountain coaster was a hit with my family. I have kids ranging from 10-22 and everyone was smiling. Alcatraz east and the titanic museum are an absolute must! And just when you think you have found the most amazing place on earth you look out your window and see the sunsets over the Great Smokies. Like a real life bob Ross painting.Guest review byClowers - 10.0

Gatlinberg is an awesome place to visit, there are so many things to do whether you're shopping, playing or eating ,and the atmosphere is amazing. You could do something different every day. And the mountains are so beautiful even if it rains. I loved every minute and can't wait to go back. Favorite spots were just walking the streets where all the shops were and driving through Cades Cove. We stayed in a hotel right off the main strip so everything was in walking distance.Guest review byDaniels - 10.0

Cherokee has really done some growing since I was there shortly after the pandemic. Great new eateries, nice hotels. Getting around Cherokee was easy. Husband and I are both seniors and we did the Oconaluftee River tubing. We had a ball! Highly recommend. Only wish we had planned to stay in Cherokee longer.Guest review byCovingtonUnited States - 10.0

The downtown area had places to eat and shop. People are nice, helpful and receptive. There is a variety of food and bars. We did the Smokey Mountain Railroad trip to the gouge. The left side of the train as its traveling gives the best view. Food on the train was as good as any restaurant.Guest review byYoungUnited States - 10.0

Great food choices in town and close to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge without the busy-ness of those towns right outside your door. Lots to do in town if you are into hiking or nature - and plenty of bars if not!Guest review byLoganUnited States - 8.0
Area as expected.
Area as expected. Beautiful mountain scenery and average mountain town. Nice people, feels very safe. Close to hiking, mountains and lakes we wanted to explore. A lot of beautiful wide open spaces which is great to see. Topoco tavern a must place to see and eat located just outside town.Guest review byJulieUnited States - 10.0

We love this area and visit often.
We love this area and visit often. Our main focus is driving the roads but we do like to take time (or a rainy day) to head to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge or Knoxville to check out the tourist attractions. Maryville is wonderfully central to everything that we want to see or do and has a ton of places to eat, stay, get gas, etc.Guest review byANGIE
