If you get a chance to visit pigeon forge, I recommend everyone to go see the Conway Twitty Tribute Show, that all you have to type into your phone, it is locally run by a husband and his wife and it was just amazing, if you're into old country stop by and take a trip down memory lane. visit the ole smokey distillery in both pigeon forge and Gatlinburg. If you can let the kids go into the $9.98 or less, stores they won't be disappointed. Visit the Sunliner Diner for dinner and take a trip down memory lane to the 50s, go into Gatlinburg and visit the car museum, see bumblebee and the batmobile, see Dolly Wood, and maybe even Dolly herself, but if you have a chance visit the titanic museum and see the extraordinary ship that won't sink (this time!) and just enjoy some family fun. If you visit in the summer time the majority of the hotels in Pigeon Forge have water parks attached to them for the kids to have fun as well.
Our hotel was very nice and in a great location. Our favorite thing that we did was go to the Pirate Voyage Dinner Theater. It was amazing. Such talented actors, fighting, dancing, diving, high wire acts, interact with the audience. Everyone walked out laughing, talking and big smiles. The food was good too. The Dolly Stampede was disappointing this year. Be careful where you eat, we had a lot of bad meals. Breakfast at our hotel was better than the breakfast we paid 40.00 for at Shoney's. Coffee is 3.50 a cup. At Golden Corral the fish wasn't done and we couldn't chew the steak or ribs. Sadly Outback wasn't much better. Best meals were at Red Lobster and TGI Fridays. All in all Pigeon Forge is a great place to go. Our second time and going again in May as our Grandson is having his wedding there and we are from Michigan.
There are so many things to do in the area. We went to Dollywood on opening day, which was a blast. We also took a 10-minute drive over to Gatlinburg and spent the day. While in Gatlinburg we ate some pastries at the Donough Frier located in the Village area, we spent some time in the mall and other shops up and down the strip and finished the day eating at the Park Grill, which was awesome. When back in Pigeon Forge we went to the Island and spent a few hours there and had a good time going through the shops and listening to blue grass music. Also, while in Pigeon Forge we ate at Guy Fieri's "Flavor Town" and the Old Mill restaurant. These restaurants are totally different eating experiences, but both are excellent places to eat.
The activities and relaxation is endless! You can shop, eat, and play all within a little strip. You can relax at your hotel by the pool, or you can do a mountain adventure for relaxation purposes. You cannot go wrong with food in this area, because there are so many great restaurants. If you need a new outfit, purse, shoes, or what have you, there are AMAZING outlets with affordable pricing right down from the main strip. You can travel to gatlinburg, and walk the beautiful streets, eat local, or taste wine and moonshine. There are many kid friendly activities for all ages.
Rooms were spacious, beds were comfy, balcony right by a rushing stream, fed the geese & ducks each day! Rooms are nice, clean, we had a kitchenette with stove and refrigerator, kitchen was stocked up good, Heat & Ac unit looked new and worked great..we parked right in front of our room....had requested 1st floor and it was awesome.Front desk was super nice and they have a breakfast buffet...they do have two buildings and we drove over to the main building to get breakfast....was no big deal to us! We will stay here again for sure!!!😁♥️
Loved visiting The Island. The SkyFly ride was well worth the price and then some. I would not recommend Paula Deen's Family Kitchen. The prices were outrageous and the food is served family style yet we were served single serve dishes for a family of 5 to split. The food was overly seasoned also and the macaroni and cheese too bland. The Titanic museum was a wealth of knowledge and all the staff were very courteous and helpful. We are already planning out next trip back in few months!
Our family went to Pigeon Forge to celebrate our son turning 16. The Inn On The River surprised him with a personalized card, goodies and a football laying on the coffee table in our room. Everything from check in to check out was nothing shy of AWESOME!! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and comfortable and the breakfast buffet was fantastic! Fire pit over looking the river after a busy day was a wonderful way to wind down. Our family couldn't have asked for more!
NOTHING, WE LEFT!! I ATTEMPTED TO GET A REFUND AND WAS DENIED ALL MY MONEY BACK. I WILL BE TAKING THIS FURTHER, PROBABLY ALL THE WAY TO THE FIRE MARSHALL'S OFFICE OF PIGEON FORGE, BECAUSE I AM A FIREFIGHTER AND I WOULD BE REMISS IF I DIDN'T !! THE PLACE IS A FIRE HAZARD WAITING TO HAPPEN. AS THE LIGHT SWITCH BY THE DOOR FELL OUT OF THE WALL INTO MY HAND. THE SECOND ROOM THE LIGHTS WOULDN'T EVEN WORK AND SMELLED TERRIBLE.
I like that the indoor pool stays open until 2am but we didn't use it because it was very busy. We liked the breakfast selection of cereal, waffles, biscuits and gravy, coffee, hot chocolate, and several juices. The location was nice, being in the middle of Pigeon Forge, close to The Island and not too far from Dollywood. All parking was very close to the hotel. There was even a small arcade room but we were too tired to use it.
The property was really pretty! Loved the river and the attractions near by. Would be an awesome spot to take family. We didn’t get to spend a ton of time in Pigeon Forge but we hope to be back and would use this hotel again. Breakfast was good! Staff were good. Bed was comfortable. The pool was awesome (really good temperature too). We absolutely loved the pool and had a ton of fun.
I loved the cleanliness of the hotel. The outside, the inside and location. I even seen a worker cleaning the webs from the walls and rails one morning. I was impressed. I will stay here from now on. The best hotel Ive stayed at in Pigeon Forge, and I have stayed at plenty. :)
Mona at the front desk was awesome. I had some concerns when I arrived due to the reviews on the hotel but I was shown the room before checking in and was satisfied. the hotel in general needs some updating but the value in the cost is still a great deal!
excellent staff, great breakfast, very clean, very comfortable, and always a great place to stay being close to everything, would highly recommend this hotel if you are traveling to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.
everything was good. Staff were very helpful, courteous and efficient. Room and bathroom were very clean. Fridge worked well. Breakfast was tasty average for most hotels.
Every thing was awesome. Only thing we saw a bitterness was a lady with a dog in went into the hotel. We took this hotel because it is a no pet allowed hotel..
love this hotel! whenever I go to pigeon forge, this is where I stay! amazing balcony views, great area and a friendly ,nice and comfortable hotel
Location was GREAT! So many different attractions on the same strip as the hotel! Definitely a must visit location! Will be visiting again soon!
