We are a family of 4, came to stay at Garland to be close to the Universal Studios. Garland has a personable feel to it that started with the check in. Staff members are very welcoming. It is not a big hotel but the premises are very spacious and the quality of services is very high. The room was very clean and decorated with taste but not pretentious. That was expected for the price. The beds are very comfortable and so are the pillows. We got such a good night's sleep there. The room was quiet too. Now the restaurant is another highlight. Very tasty food and we did not have to go anywhere: had breakfast and dinner there. Make sure you make dinner reservations because it gets busy. We have not used the pool or gym because there was no time for it. We did use a fusball table. What a great entertainment for kids after a day in Universal! There is also a nice souvenir store at the hotel, which sells neat quality things instead of junky stuff so common elsewhere. The hotel also provides a free trolley that can take you there. It runs every hour but we used uber to get to universal, it is about 10$.

I liked the design of the place and the bedroom was spectacular. The room was very comfortable and we were provided with the pillow of our liking. The hotel is very clean and up to the 5 star standard. The toiletries were by diptyque, one of my favorite brands. the bedding was excellent with high thread count and the towels were very clean and changed daily. The lights of the room seems updated and was easy to control near the nightstand. The room was very spacious and the closet space was big. Overall, i recommend this place and will definitely be back.
