Ryokans in Kanazawa

The property is very traditional, so you can really get the full experience of a Japanese ryokan. I slept in a futon, took baths in a traditional setting, ate Japanese breakfast. Overall it was a very relaxing experience. The owners are very friendly and speak good English.

You should definitely visit Asadaya if you want an unique experience - starting from the traditional room with tatami and finishing to an exceptional dinner and breakfast. You will never forget the dinner - it was the best I have ever had in Japan.

Everything! A true ryokan. The onsen was beautiful and the room clean and comfortable. A must if you want to get a true Japanese experience.

Perfect communication and very friendly hosts! Ask Bungo about the restaurants in the neighbourhood. Perfect location! Next to the entrance to the castle park, near Hakucho promenade (shortcut to Kenroku’en garden and Ishikawa gate), near Ōmichō fish market, and not far from the Higashi Chaya geisha area) Perfect tatami room and very clean Japanese bathroom with a hot bath to relax.

Lovely little Ryokan in the heart of old Kanazawa. Food was excellent and the staff very friendly. Communications are in Japanese or English.

We had a lovely stay in this hotel. The room is a spacious Japanese style. It is located on a riverside side, so we enjoyed the fabulous view. The hotel staff was exceptionally friendly & helpful. We will definitely stay there again if we visit Kanazawa again in the future.

Fantastic Service, Meal and facilities. Many coffee and Library corner for guests to sit and relax with free drink and snack. Even better for my room that have special bar providing the drink and snack privately. Staff is excellent helping for everything

This place is a GEM! We loved everything about our stay at Kurumiya. The staff is so dedicated and friendly. They really care about offering the best service. The breakfast was excellent. The rooms are very nice, stocked with nice amenities and we made good use of the private Onsen after walking all day. Its a small boutique hotel decorated with taste and with attention to details, it is perfectly located so you can walk everywhere to the main attractions in Kanazawa. We would go back in a heartbeat!

Amazing location & even though a typical ryokan, they offered the choice of a western breakfast which was very much appreciated by the children

Beautiful inn. Our gorgeous room was modeled after a tea room. The futon were comfortable and the split and gas heaters kept the room toasty. Dinner the first night (we had other meals out) was exceptional. Uno-san, our host was friendly and accommodating.

Excellent experience staying at a traditional Japanese inn. The staff were exceptional, the grounds were beautiful and quiet, and the private house with the onsen bath was lovely.

The most beautiful accommodation I’ve ever stayed in anywhere ! Superb service and they were all so kind, warm and thoughtful. Staying here resetted my nervous system. The onsen is a luxury to experience in front of the beautiful scenaries of the mountains and river. Walking out in the morning seeing chicken will melt your heart

Everything was amazing. The accommodations were authentic Japanese. Very beautiful and quiet location, very peaceful. The family that runs it were so sweet and accommodating. Food was exceptional , very authentic Japanese and was delicious. Onsen was beautiful and very relaxing. Room was huge and accommodated 5 of us comfortably. This was definitely a highlight of our trip!

Everything is excellent. The setup and in room Onsen is comfortable. After that, you can grab soft drink in the common area like your home. Dinner and breakfast provided are excellent. The staff are friendly and helpful.
