The room was very spacious and comfortable, the staff were very helpful and we were lucky enough to be able to get a parking space, which was a bonus. We only stayed one night, but would love to stay longer when we have more time.

Friendly staff and breakfast was amazing.
Friendly staff and breakfast was amazing. Lovely decor and our room was comfortable with a large on-suite. All was super clean too.
Nothing bad to say at all albeit I agree with another traveler that the bath was too high sided. I was fine but a less able person would find it difficult to clamber into.

Christchurch is a lovely place- my sister moved there 2 years ago and we are a large family so need other accommodation when we visit. The Avon ticked all the boxes and it was like home from home. Close to everything and not far from the beach.
It is a beautiful part of Britain and unspoilt which I hadn’t visited before - usually going to Bournemouth.
It is a must for families with Avon beach so clean and unspoiled with all the amenities you need. The New Forest is also so close.

Except that the hotel location was too far to walk into Christchurch the town itself is lovely especially the walks alongside of the river.
Also as with every location along this coast parking fees are an issue and excessive

Christchurch is basically unchanged and has a village feel but also has good shopping and a market on Mondays. The priory and the walks along the river are beautiful. There is also the regent theatre which has a variety of entertainment.

Quaint old town with lovely riverside walk and various interesting old buildings. We had an excellent meal at very reasonable prices at the Lock and Quay restaurant and we liked the Kings Arms hotel for a drink - very friendly staff and lovely, stylish decor.
The staff were very friendly engaging in conversation and greeting you whenever they saw you. All the staff were genuinely happy to be there you could tell it was a family run independent hotel not some anonymous chain.
The location was superb overlooking the river and also a short walk to the town centre through the church grounds , this was a last minute change of venue , we are VERY glad we found this hotel and we will definitely be going back.
Very very dated hotel, however very quirky, lots of wood panelling, a great bar, great out door patio & greenery
I was expecting Basil Faulty to jump out on me or be served by cybil or Manuel!!!
The traditional cooked breakfast was a 10/10
The staff were all friendly helpful & welcoming
The hotel lacks modern facilities & is very tired in appearance, but that aside, good value for money & good location for Mudiford, Christchurch etc
everything! wonderfully decorated, great location, great food, comfortable bed, lovely room and top of the list lovely friendly efficient brilliant staff- especially Jan! He was exceptional. We introduced visiting friends from Jersey to the Kings (and the Harbour Hotel) who will definitely be back. impressed and happy. thank you - from Sarah and Jim.
David is a happy and helpful host. The room was clean and comfortable.

Tiny, nice hotel, kind and helpful staff, absolutely clean room and bathroom, comfy bed. Coffee and tea machine in the room, so you can easy make a hot beverage and having a rest with, after a busy sightseeing day. The breakfast is also tasty, healthy and beautifully served.
Great selection of continental breakfast including delicious homemade food. Welcome pack provided upon check-in was a lovely personal touch. Good location for walking into Christchurch or driving to the beach. Parking facilities onsite. Staff were friendly.
Excellent and friendly host. Accommodation and breakfast were top notch. Location was ideal for us since we were visiting elderly aunt in Mudeford. Great location to walk to Mudeford Quay and path to Christchurch. Would use again.
Lovely studio in Wick, Christchurch, about a half an hour pleasant walk into Christchurch Town or take the Wick ferry which costs a £1 each way, couldn't fault a thing, really good quality, thanks Roz and Kevin
