Great location but poor AC plus our bedroom was on mezzanine level and down flight of stairs to bathroom. Not good for old age pensioners. WE complained about faulty AC and after quite a bit of fuss did get upgraded to room with working AC.

Beautiful small family run hotel at top of genuinely authentic Sicilian town. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast was very good with a good choice. We absolutely intend to return again. Great value for money.

This place was an oasis in the country side. We had spent two days in Palermo and to arrive to Il Tanaceto surrounded by fields of wild flowers and green hills was exactly what we needed. We only booked a few hours before arriving and Giovanna did everything to make us feel welcome and comfortable. She cooked a simple but delicious meal. We walked around the immediate area and all you heard - sounds of nature, the odd car and silence. And Mount Etna towering over us in the distance. Very enjoyable stay.

The location is up high so the views are amazing. There are 2 terraces so it's always possible to have sun and/or shade whenever. Nearby is a pizza restaurant/takeaway that is great! In the village a short downhill walk are great cafes and bars and a Spar and just up from the property is a square with a fabulous, friendly restaurant with great food and a wine shop. Rita who met us and showed us round the property couldn't have been more welcoming or helpful - she solved every problem we encountered. Unfortunately our Italian and her English was limited which was a shame as she was clearly a lovely woman who we would have liked to chat to!! The property was a good base for Etna Nord and the Alcantara gorge and valley which were both amazing.

Everything! it’s a beautiful and peaceful place. You live in a small cabin in a pretty garden, with views over the surrounding valley. Lots of privacy. There is a gorgeous pool, that is very clean and well maintained. Perfect for cooling down in the warm weather. Friendly and helpful owner. Contacted me with directions prior to our stay. it includes a breakfast with home made cake, biscuits, and cereal. If you want something bigger, you can cook your own in the kitchen. There is a shop a few minutes walk away, that sells cheese, meats, eggs and bread. it is a very nice restaurant within about 5 min walking distance, and several others in the area that you can drive to. Good location for wine tasting and golf. Recommend, and would definitely stay here again!
