We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. Praiano is a great location for Amalfi Coast travelling, cheaper and right in between Positano and Amalfi, and this hotel is right on the main road in which the bus travels. The proximity to the bus stop (2-3min) was very handy.
The room and restaurant view were the best part. The breakfast was okay - very good cappuccino.
The room was always tidy and the staff was nice.
Expect simple, family-run accommodation, delicious homemade cuisine and stunning views of the sea at Hotel Open Gate. The beach is just a 5-minute walk away.

Everything about this hotel was 10/10. The staff were so lovely and helpful. I am gluten free and they did everything to help accomodate for my needs. The buffet was great, the views were amazing, the staff were the best and the rooms were clean. I would go back here in a heart beat.

The beautiful Hotel Pellegrino, tucked away on the hillside of Praiano, will forever hold a place in our hearts. From the heartwarming service, breathtaking views, and idyllic location, we were constantly impressed by every detail of this hotel. We received outstanding service from Frederico, before, during, and even after our stay. They ensured our comfortable arrival, coordinated lifts and excursions, and even arranged for a private delivery when we realized we had left some personal items behind.
We were pleasantly surprised by the complimentary services, available just at our fingertips. Luigi was always eager to provide great insight for our travels and happy to transport us from the scooter rental location, bus stop, and everywhere near and far in between. On our last night we realized we needed laundry services very last minute and the team was happy to help, sending us on our way with nicely laundered and pressed clothes overnight.
We don’t even know where to begin with our dining experience here. For starters, the rooftop terrace offers a bird’s-eye view of the ocean and town of Praiano, surrounded by a luscious, blooming garden. The complimentary breakfast each morning was truly a treat, with an assortment of baked goods, fresh fruit, and the best scrambled eggs we have ever had. We elected to have dinner at the hotel restaurant on both nights of our stay as it was just that exceptional. The fresh octopus, mixed fish, and tiramisu were a few of our favorites yet every dish was as breathtaking as the sunset view from the terrace! Compliments to Genaro and the chef as we truly enjoyed every bite of every course.
Needless to say, the close-knit family staff and Hotel Pellegrino are part of something very special and have created an experience nothing short of spectacular. It was an absolute pleasure to experience this beauty and level of hospitality during our short stay. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Our first trip to Italy, and my wife and I enjoyed time through Tuscany to the Amalfi coast, and back to Rome. Praiano turned out the perfect spot for our stay. Just a short water taxi for a daytrip to Positano, and scenic winding drive the next day to a Lemoncello Tasting Tour nearby in the other direction. Plenty of options for villas spread along the coast there, many with excellent waterfront views and right on the water.

Beautiful area (great views, hikes, and restaurants), but be aware that getting around can be difficult. The roads are narrow and chaotic, and parking can be hard to find. So, most people don't recommend driving. However, the public transportation along the coast is not great either. There are a few regular bus routes, but they run infrequently and are usually too full to allow everyone on, so you end up waiting a long time for an empty enough bus to arrive. We walked as much as possible.

Priano is very small, so it is less expensive than the other cities close by. The church and the local neighborhood around were enjoyable. The fine restaurants were very expensive, and the moderate priced restaurants were hit and miss.

We love Priania we have been there several times and it never disappoints. It’s a small town but everything you need is there the bus service to Positano and Amalfi is very handy. We were disappointed that the ferries weren’t operating yet so we didn’t get to Capri but all the more reason to come back again.

There's not a lot to do in Praiano itself but it's a great place to stay for day trips to Positano and Amalfi with frequent buses stopping in the village. It was good to be away from the crowds in the evenings and whilst small the choice and standard of restaurants was good
Everything about our stay at Villa Il Frantoio was perfect. The location is ideal, situated in a great part of Praiano with easy access to the best views and restaurants. The breakfasts were delicious and fresh and the view from the breakfast location was incredible. The staff was all helpful, kind, fun and all went out of their way to make us feel at home. Giulio and his entire team were beyond compare and we just wish we were still there. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to visit Praiano.
The location and views were outstanding - if anything, better than the website was able to convey. Views both towards Praiano and in the other direction towards Positano, from different parts of the hotel are just mesmerising! The height above the sea is incredible - thank goodness for the lift to the beach club. The rooms were very nice too, and the terrace by the bar was lovely. The staff were also really helpful and welcoming (apart from the restaurant manager)
The location was amazing. Praiano is the prefect place on the Amalfi Cost to unwind away from the business of Positano. There are gorgeous and quiet beaches close by, with lovely little restaurants. We hired a scooter from a little place close by, and this is definitely the best way to get around. If you prefer the bus, this is literally 30 metres from the front door as well. Flora the host was lovely, and very responsive and helpful with everything we needed!
Il Pino is located in an excellent spot, close to great bars and restaurants. It has a very convenient bus stop across the street that you can take to Positano or Amalfi. There are a number of local beaches located a short walking distance from the hotel. The staff is very helpful, friendly and they really go out of their way to make sure you're having a pleasant stay in Praiano. Also, the views (especially from the top floor rooms) are absolutely spectacular!
I love this place! would recommend it for sure! Location is great right between Amalfi and Positano. we took a water taxi right from the hotel to Positano which was 10 min very close. the hotel is clean, we had breakfast included the staff even opened the kitchen earlier for us to accommodate because we were leaving early in the morning. Everyone was very friendly and super helpful, we felt like home. Will miss this place a lot!
Thank you for everything!
Exactly as it looks in the pictures. Amazing views and great location. Room was spotless and easy access to buses. You can use the facilities of the hotel next door which is the best on the area and the prices for using the pool etc reflect that. Best advice pay the 1.3 euros to go to Amalfi and the 5 euros for a sunbed. It's the cheapest you will find.
Praiano is great place to stay with nice restaurants and easy buses (but busy) to get everywhere
I l9ved the tranquility and the beautiful view from the rooftop bar. It was so so busy in Positano and Amalfi - I was so pleased that we stayed in Praiano and even more so at Tramonto d'Oro. The family run hotel and staff made us feel so welcome. The breakfast was exceptional and the views possibly the best on the Amalfi coast. Best sunsets and amazing cocktails. Rooms are super super clean and the shower was the best I have ever had on tour.

The room was always tidy and the staff was nice.
My daughter and three friends stayed at hotel Pellegrino in July and absolutely loved their stay. The staff picked them up at the Naples airport and advised them every step of the way. The girls loved the restaurant, the beach club recommended, beautiful Priano and actually preferred this location over Positano. Do not hesitate to stay here!
If you want to visit Positano but not have to deal with all the crowds stay in Praiano and catch the bus to Positano for 1.80euro. It is the next town and so charming but quiet
Better still stay at hotel holiday and the bus stop is right at your door
The views from the bar balcony are wonderful
This was an exceptional hotel! I absolutely loved the gorgeous terrace in my room. It was amazing to sit out and have my breakfast and see the breathtaking views. The location was great and just a short bus ride to Positano.
perfect location for easy bus access to Positano & Amalfi. Absolutely wonderful family who runs the hotel & they have a great team. We so enjoyed chatting with the waitstaff & the family. Delightful stay.
the lovely view, a large room, comfortable bed and a great balcony. also the staff in the hotel were very helpful and nice. we used the hotel parking. we enjoyed our stay there and the city of Praiano.
The location is amazing, on the main road of amalfi coast in the exit from praiano close to positano and bus station. Though the stairs of the residence were a lot it was a nice experience.
Very clean property with amazing views from this hotel. It’s also located very centrally in Praiano! The staff was super sweet and extremely helpful with all of our queries!
Praiano is a real jewel on The Amalfi Coast. Hotel Bellavista has views to die for, friendly staff who really looked after us, good food all in a great location.
