Rome is very busy but there is lots to see!

Rome is very busy but there is lots to see! It's very easy to get around on public transport, tourists spots are very crowded. I would not stay in the centre as it's very noisy. So much to see!!! We stayed for 5 nights (with kids) could have styed longer but it was nice to leave the busy city. Vatican was our favourite part. We stayed about 20 mins away from Vatican city, it was so quiet and not a tourist part which was really nice. Hop on hop off bus is so good with kids. There was still so much that we didn't get to see but you can't see it all with kids, they get very tired!

    Best attractions are St.

Best attractions are St. Peter's, Sistine Chapel, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Colosseum and Pantheon. Very crowded even in mid-September. Must get tickets to Colosseum and Vatican Museum/Sistine Chapel in advance otherwise the lines are too long. Although no tickets are needed, we waited in line for an hour to get through the security checkpoint at St. Peter's. Go as early as possible. It helped that while waiting in line at mid-day, one of us was able to walk over to a snack/sandwich booth just outside the area of the line and get wonderful, heated tomato and mozzarella panini sandwiches that we ate while on the line.

The food is awesome, the hospitality was great as well.

The food is awesome, the hospitality was great as well. The prices are good for eating out. The cultural heritage there is unbelievably rich. The city is extremely dirty, there is trash everywhere. The streets and parks are full of homeless (?) people lying all around drunk/drugged, they are also screaming, raiding on the streets during the night. The police seems non-existing. The traffic is horror. The Roman/christian heritage is awesome, but does it worth the rest of the experience? I don't know. We tried it once, but surely not gonna come again soon.

It's crazy how there are statues and buildings that are thousands of years old everywhere you look. Be prepared for lines and very large crowds. Taxis are extremely difficult to find or get. Food was good. In some restaurants we dined at, staff were very friendly and attentive; in others, not so much. Reviews are helpful but you still have to take it with a grain of salt. We stayed and ate at places with amazing reviews but were disappointed once we got there. But, live and learn.

    Amazing place to be.

Amazing place to be. Prepare for high lodging prices and to see the city absolutely overrun with tourists. Locals were seemingly tired of the grind in August and customer service was pretty lackluster in general. Food, culture, art, history, monuments, city walking all make up for lack of customer service.

We had a wonderful weekend in Rome! It's a family hotel with very friendly and helpful hostesses - Francesca and her mother. The hotel offers stylish and comfortable rooms equipped with everything you need: a fridge, a kettle, a TV. The bed is very comfortable, and the area is quiet. I especially want to mention the delicious homemade breakfast with eggs, yogurt, ham, pastries and coffee, which is quite diverse for Italy. I highly recommend staying at this hotel👍

Amazing place!! Me and my mum really enjoyed out stay. The place has such a unique atmosphere. The host so helpful and nice. Our check in time was out of the house rules, but host allowed us to check in later. Moreover, our train got late and host still waited us for several hours. We just cannot be more thankful. It really made our trip to Rome special. Thank you! Also, we got recommendation on the restaurant nearby and it was our best meal in Italy.

Great location, few minutes walk from Rome Termini train station. 2 stop from Colosseum,or walk about 15-20 minutes. Don't forget to try "Gelateria S.M.Maggior" the best gelato ever! Also had best Chinese food in "Ristorante Cinese Wang xiang lou" ( better than UK ) Just by hotel left hand corner, tasty and very reasonable price. For Italy food we went Santa Maria Osteria - Ristorante Pizzeria,it was good. Overall we enjoyed out stay.

This was the best place we stayed in Italy. Nice and new, modern and contemporary. Felt extremely clean, comfortable beds and we were lucky enough to have a view of Piazza Venezia from our room. Great location, we walked everywhere and didn’t have to use public transport once. Plus the breakfast! Pietro really went the extra mile to make breakfast each morning that bit special. Will definitely be back when we return to Rome.
