Scotland’s largest city, Glasgow combines Victorian architecture and a vibrant arts scene. A former European City of Culture, it is home to many national organisations including the Scottish Ballet and the National Theatre of Scotland. The museums are also world class. Not to be missed are the futuristic-looking Glasgow Science Centre and the eclectic exhibits at the Kelvingrove.
Lined with Georgian buildings, George Square is the city’s focal point and the spot for Glasgow Hogmanay celebrations. Fanning out from here are streets housing venues for the city’s main love: music. From classical concerts to up-and-coming bands, every taste is catered for.
As host of the 2014 Commonwealth Games, Glasgow is also a city of sport. Scotland’s 2 most iconic football clubs - Celtic and Rangers - are based here, as is the national football stadium Hampden Park. The Scottish Football Museum is also an excellent walk through the beautiful game.
Last but not least is the shopping in Glasgow. Shopping centres cover everything from high street brands to international designers. So when you fly into Glasgow Airport, make sure you’ve left enough space in your bags!

A very quaint and walkable city with amazing vibes. The architecture is very historic and the city has preserved it very well. The Glaswegians are very friendly people and we enjoyed our stay very much. Plenty of museums to check out as well as a fabulous science museum which any child would enjoy.

There is something magical about this city, a dark mystery engulfing it. There is nothing comparable to the architecture of this place. It is impossible to ignore the charm that street musicians add to the city. The city is so large that a few days cannot cover all its corners, but it certainly makes you fall in love with the place.

I underestimated the amount of things to do, and the size of Glasgow, it’s huge with so much to offer. Fab shopping, leisure, food and bars. We were only there two days. We went on a ghost walk, something different and fun. The hop on and off bus is a must do, art gallery and Kelvingrove Museum is beautiful. We will be back!

There are plenty of things to see, unfortunately in my very short stay I could only see so much, and I chose to mostly walk around town and admire the beautiful architecture. Grabbing a daypass on the sightseeing bus is also a great way to get acquainted with all the spots you can visit, should you have the time. Some that are free to visit and definitely worth seeing are the Central Train Station, which has been operational since 1879 and currently has modern elements blended into the ancient structure, the Riverside Museum, although newly build, takes you through Glasgow history, with an impressive display of cars, motorcycles and model ships, as well as interactive displays, and George Square with it's array of statues guarded by seagulls.

We came from South Yorkshire to watch Scotland v Poland at Hampden Park. What an amazing experience, the match seemed to go so fast. We came to Scotland on the day of the match, but regret not coming the day before. Not only to help with the tiredness, but also to be able to take in the city a bit more. We met some amazing people, I do love Scotland and always miss the place when I have to go home.

Happy new yr and thank you to all the staff for making our stay so enjoyable!
Near the Buchanan Bus Station.
Okay for one night under 50 pounds, twin or double; just to shower and sleep and get ready for airport/bus early the next morning. Otherwise, if higher than 50 and/or the stay is for more than a night, I will definitely choose the other hotels as Glasgow city centre is teeming with hotels left and right.
Very clean hotel, shower was amazing!! comfy beds and nice big rooms, we was upgraded on arrival to a room with a connecting living area on the 11th floor with some amazing views. Pool area clean and tidy. Within walking distance to the Hydro and SECC in Glasgow. Cheap car park also for being in the city centre. Would 100% go back.
Very helpful staff, brand new, beautiful hotel, big and cosy room, we were on the highest floor with a beautiful city view. Everything was very clean. Location is the city centre. Very-very good value for money. Glasgow will not be our favourite destination, but we would return anytime to this hotel.
