Hotel Madrid Alameda Aeropuerto, Affiliated by Meliá, hotel in Madrid

This hotel is linked to the nearby Madrid Barajas Airport by a free shuttle service upon request. It is also convenient for the Juan Carlos I exhibition centre.

To do the check in was a very long process. A large group arrived and they took a lot of time with each person. We would have liked the staff to be sensitive to the rest of the people in line and offer some help. Or more staff come in to help eith the line. We just had to get our key and had to wait long.

The Spanish Soul of Art and Entertainment

Modern Madrid is one of the greenest cities in Europe and the most popular destination in Spain. Whether you want to experience its legendary nightlife or a flamenco show, this is the place to be.

The renowned Museo del Prado holds one of the world’s finest art collections with iconic paintings by El Greco, Velázquez and Goya. For more modern touch, the Museo Reina Sofia houses Picasso’s and Dali’s most respected works.

Start your evening at Puerta del Sol, one of the city’s busiest spots. Make some room in your stomach for great tapas and sangria in La Latina district, south of the city’s most famous plaza, Plaza Mayor.

Real Madrid plays at Santiago Bernabeu and Atlético Madrid competes at Vicente Calderón Stadium, two opportunities that no sports fan will want to miss. The popular Salamanca district is a great place to look for boutique gifts and unique shops.

Thanks to great public transportation system, getting to the city centre from Madrid Barajas International Airport is very easy. Whether you’re looking for luxury hotels, budget hostels or comfy apartments, Booking.com has a perfect place for your Madrid holiday.

Lots of historic buildings and places for tourists.

Lots of historic buildings and places for tourists. People are relatively friendly,, especially if try to speak in Spanish. Many people in the downtown area speak English. Central Madrid is not car friendly. Parking is difficult, if not impossible. Traffic is slow motion. You can walk faster than drive. If you need to go far, get a taxi. Taxis are less expensive than most big cities. I used Uber and did fine.

The hotel is 10-15min away from the airport driving but we could not hear any noise (which is often a problem with hotels near airports!). The transfer to and from the airport is super convenient. We were worried because our flight was delayed, but the hotel staff were very nice and arranged for a pick up at the airport at 2am with no extra charge. This was really appreciated. The premises are very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was also of good quality. I will be staying again if I am ever connecting flights in Madrid.

The hotel is located at one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in Madrid, Barrio de las letras. It is in the center of Madrid but is not loud at all and not that crowded. You have too many options like bars, supermarkets and beautiful alternative boutiques to shop. The owners of the hotel are so pleasant and helpful, they can give you any info you want about the city. The property is in an older building across the park from the Royal Palace. We thought this was the best property we stayed in on our two weeks in Spain. Room was huge, as was the bathroom, sitting area and coffee/tea service was a nice touch. This is a "hostal" ( a small family owned hotel) and well worth staying at. Elevator to upper floors, front desk is up a floor from entrance. Several restaurants, tapas bars, pastry and ice cream shops within walking distance. Would stay here again the next time.

We moved to Viky‘s from our downtown Madrid hotel because we had to be at the Madrid airport at 4 am. Viky‘s offered a free airport shuttle every half hour during the entire night. It worked out perfect. We were at Terminal 1 in less than 10 minutes. Barajas is a neat town with lots of nice restaurants around the plaza which made our last night in Spain very enjoyable.
