We had a lovely stay at the Hydroussa Skyros. It was still low season when we visited so for most days we were the only guests in the entire hotel. The Hydroussa's location is unbeatable, right on the beach, and within walking distance from the town of Skyros as well as a great variety of restaurants and bars on Magazia and Molos beach. The rooms (I believe all have sea views) were very comfortable and had nice balconies. The staff couldn't have been friendlier and the breakfasts were very generous. Skyros is a very special place with its own distinct culture. We would love to visit again and would certainly stay at the Hydroussa again on a future visit.

Georgia and her husband are great hosts and extremely welcoming. Their place has a great view of the sea and it is just a 2-mins walk to a lovely beach bar called Juicy which has some great breakfast and lunch options as well as beds to lie on after swimming. Me and my partner spent 5 nights in Georgia's house and were very comfortable there we actually didn't want to leave. It's peaceful with a lovely view and a great place to relax on holiday. The room has everything you need - wardrobe, shelving, good wifi, a mirror, fridge, air-con and a lovely bathroom. We also enjoyed time on our balcony which, if you wake early has the best sunrise view!

Skyros Town is by far the most sttractive and the best place to stay on the island, but Linaria is a good alternative particularly if you are travelling by ferry from Kymi on Evia and have a late arrival or eralt departure. Linaria has a reasonable choice of tavernas, bars and shops and there some interesting walks in the locality.
