The location is excellent . It’s 5 min walk to Split historic centre, the town’s pedestrian zone with its attractions and shops and seafront/harbour promenade with its many restaurants.
However the hotel (Villa Diana ) has no lift and so there are many stairs to climb even to reach reception and many more stairs to reach the top floor. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, waited for my late evening arrival and a young man carried my suitcase up to the top floor and carried it downstairs on check out.
The hotel lies on a main road so is very noisy (my room was on the road) if the windows are open. Fortunately the windows have double glazing and there is air conditioning so the windows can be closed and one then doesn’t hear the heavy traffic.
Good WiFi in room. Clean room that is beautifully decorated. Bathroom adequate size with excellent shower. A small fridge and a kettle for making tea/coffee made my stay very pleasant. The breakfast is copious: the variety of food on offer great. The price of the hotel including breakfast is good value for money if one is fit enough to climb stairs and carry luggage.
The 3-star Hotel Adriana is located on the Riva, Split’s beautiful beachfront, and just 3 minutes’ walk from the Diocletian’s Palace.

The location of the hotel is fabulous on the pedestrian seaside Obala with nice view to the port and yachts, green area of Marjan hill. Behind the hotel also pedestrian streets lead to UNESCO heritage old town with uncountable monuments, shops, restaurants, etc. The staff of the hotel was friendly and careful, the breakfast was excellent and nice bars worked inside and outside.

Split is centred around the ancient Roman Palace of the Emperor Diocletian, a magnificent building constructed at the beginning of the 4th century AD and boasting limestone and marble towers, columns and courtyards. It lies in a bay decorated with white sails of yachts, as sailing is definitely Split’s big thing!
The city is full of architectural gems, one of which is St. Duje’s Cathedral, the oldest cathedral in the world, built in 305 AD and combining both Roman and Catholic influences. Nearby Varoš is a must-see, one of the city’s oldest parts, full of charming streets and beautiful houses.

Split is a beautiful city that is very popular with tourists. The days when cruise ships arrive, the city triples in size making it very difficult to enjoy. The old city has a lot of history, it’s quaint and charming that has a good infrastructure to handle the crowds. I can’t imagine the city during high season.

Split oldtown is very beautiful and easy to explore on foot.
Split oldtown is very beautiful and easy to explore on foot. The ancient Roman palace was wonderful and I would recommend taking a tour to gain historical knowledge. We joined a free walking tour (this didn't include tickets to the lower level but we explored this ourselves after the tour). Each of our group gave our guide a contribution at the end of the tour. There is a great selection of restaurants and bistros in Split. We took the airport shuttle bus from and to the airport which cost Euro 8 pp per trip.

We had just spent 3 days in Dubrovnik before coming here (Dubrovnik was lovely,) I wasn't that crazy about Split in comparison, pretty dirty, graffiti on every wall you could see around the city and surrounding areas, did a city tour and was not impressed with what they had to show us, It was raining so that didn't help matters
People were friendly enough

Getting euros.
Getting euros. The atms in the tourist area charge between 3% and 6%. The post office counteris no charge.
Get out of the tourist area and prices for food and drink are a third to half the price. Highest prices and worst service in the area by the private yachts.

Split is a beautiful historic town, only spoiled by too mant travellers and cruise boats. When we arrived our boat was moored with 3 others and our rooms were in darkness with no morning view to enjoy. Like Venice, it's best to get out early to enjoy the many lovely streets and historic buildings.
Split came at the end of a cruise when we couldn't face another big meal. A fish and chip shop just off the main square was recommended to us and we very much enjoyed a freshly cooked meal perched on stools in the shop! The owner made me promise to try the fried calamari next time and the sample he gave me was excellent.
Ce and clean and most of all very convenient near the promenade of the old town of Split. There is no safety box BUT probably you do not need it because there is no house keeping throughout my 4 days stay there. And the apartment is very secure with 3 different doors to get into the apartment. First of all, the key to the main building, then the key into the apartment complex in the building then the key into your apartment. There are total of 9 apartment in the complex.I would stay here again if I am in Split, Croatia.
The location is excellent, a short walk down the steps to the city centre and old town and in the other direction, 2 mins away from a national park and amazing views!
Great value for money considering location and compared to hotels.
Milo, our host, was incredibly helpful and friendly, giving us lots of useful info about places to visit and where to save money on food.
The room had everything we needed and was spotless. We would definitely recommend it to anyone and will happily stay again if we're ever in Split!
Great location for our last 2 days in Croatia after spending 1 minth on the islands of Brac + Hvar. The hotel is probably your best bet if you want to be in the center of Diocletian Palace. We had a room on upper floor facing the clock tower and the views were amazing. I was paying dbl of ground floor but worth every penny. The colleagues were great! On day of departure they even walked with us at 5:30am to get our cab. I'd stay here again definitely.
The hotel was in an ideal location and it was about 10 - 15 walk from the main city centre or Old Town where all the historical places to see. The staff were very friendly and helpful. they even gave one of my mate a kettle to the boil the water and some herbal tea as he was poorly one day which was very thoughtful of them. The breakfast were excellent. I will definitely recommend this place and will surely stay there again, if I go to Split.
The host was really friendly. We had to postpone our arrival time several times, but he accepted this. Nice welcome present was so lovely. The location is perfect, just 250 meters from beach and ca 15 minutes walk to the city centre. The apartment was clean and fully equiped. Everything was available. The best we had in our 3 weeks Croatian trip. Recommend this for sure and hope to come back. Free parking was available also.
This stay was pretty luxurious. After visiting all kind of different accommodations in Croatia this finishing one was really amazing. The room was so wonderfully dressed and filled with thoughtful and interesting art. The accommodation is located in the best are of the city centre of Split and makes the stay even more pleasant. You are welcomed with a starter bubble wine if you wish and the room has real good airco.
May be one of best hotel in hardware, New building, new interior, great balcony, sea view in croatia, surely nr. 1 in split, 20 Meter walk to beach. Food sector is the best part of hotel management at this time, good team, best food, great breakfast better then kempinski. At lunch time, New honest staff provide good service and really good food Even without enough printed Manu.
This is our 4 th stay in split and second stay here it is easily the best place we have stayed in Croatia. Amazing location, amazing rooms - big and luxurious . It really is totally perfect. The staff could not have been more helpful booking Covid tests and taxis. I cannot recommend more highly. Such value for money in such a special place.
A parking space was saved for us, just across the street. The staff, especially Mate, was very helpful and friendly. Good location for walking to the Old Town. The room was decorated in a nice, nautical theme, clean, comfortable and quiet. Tasty pizza in the restaurant. One of my favorite stays in our 2 week visit in Croatia.
Fantastic Apartment
We have travelled fro 7 weeks through UK, France, Spain, Italy, Montenegro and Croatia. This was b for the best Stay! Our host was so helpful and went out of his way to give of his time and energy to be sure we would see all the sights of the palace in the Old Town. Highly recommend staying here.
Stipan is the best host ever, and his place is in a gorgeous part of the city. We loved the chats about the wonderful culture Split has and his positive vibe was the perfect start to our Croatian adventure. Excellent location, clean, and comfortable. Thanks for an awesome stay, Stipan! We’ll be back soon!
Owner and staff were amazing and very friendly. The location couldn’t get any better from the 5 minute walk to downtown, and the 24/7 bakeries just around the corner. The room was above and beyond the standards of a hostile. Definitely coming back for my next trip in split, Croatia.
It's two minutes walking to old town. Very clean. Nives is probably the best host we've ever had. So friendly and caring, but also gives you a lot of privacy. Would totally recomend and looking forward to come back. One of the best discoveries in Croatia.
My sister and I stayed here upon our arrival to Croatia. Andrea was a hilarious, charming and welcoming appearance and a wonderful welcome to the country. The hotel is gorgeous, staff so welcome, and could not be more perfectly situated. We will be back!
Hotel was in the heart of Split tourism which was on the Riva meaning in Croatia seafront walk access to restaurants and shops. Walking tour of the Diocletian's Palace was very interesting and historical place where the Roman Emperors retired.
The hostel is located in the old town. Nearby there is a large shop and a bakery. I was glad to meet Yuritsa. He works in a hostel at night and knows many interesting stories about Croatia and the people of this country. Thank you!
Very friendly stuff.
Place feels like home, it’s clean and quite.
Walk to old town and city centre takes only 15-20 minute walk.
Beach is close as well.
Blonde girl who works here is the best receptionist ever.
10/10
Great location, great air conditioning. Fairly spacious. Few minute walk into the centre
Be aware of lots of steps, just like most of Croatia. Also, no parking due to being in the old town
New, charmy, very clean hotel with the ultimate location in the centre of old town of Split. Super kind staff and best service I have experienced in Split. Thanks for your hospitability.
